54: Autumn as a Mirror - Fear, Discernment & Returning to Self

In this episode, I share a deeply personal reflection on fear, embodiment, and the quiet medicine of autumn. We begin in a simple moment of arrival - softening into the body, noticing the breath, and asking a question that opens everything: what is alive for you today? From there, I trace my own experience of discovering how fear can live subtly in the body, revealed through sensation, posture, and the quiet ways it shapes our choices without us always noticing. As I move through this reflection, we explore the seasonal transition into autumn here in the Southern Hemisphere, and the way nature becomes a mirror for our inner world. The trees releasing their leaves, the shift in weather, the slowing of bees as they refine their energy and prepare for what is ahead - each becomes a reminder of discernment, simplicity, and essential living. This episode also opens a tender conversation about visibility, self-expression, and the fear of being fully seen, especially in the online space. I share honestly about the internal contractions that arise when I show up, and the ongoing practice of meeting these patterns with awareness, compassion, and presence. At its heart, this is an invitation to pause. To listen more closely. To notice what is truly essential. To feel what is ready to be released. And to trust the rhythms that move through us just as they move through nature. If you are feeling tired, overwhelmed, or quietly holding fear this season, may this episode offer you space to soften, reflect, and return to yourself. I also share about my Autumn Nourishment Guide - a gentle resource to support you in slowing down and moving with more intention through this season, Download the free guide here. 50: The Science of Breath

Today we move from philosophy into physiology. Breath is not mystical, it's mechanical. And that is what makes it powerful and accessible. In this episode, we explore the anatomy of breathing: the diaphragm, the ribcage, the pelvic floor, and how the body was designed to breathe in a three-dimensional, responsive way. We gently unpack how stress reshapes our breathing patterns -chest breathing, shallow breathing, mouth breathing, and how these adaptations can quietly keep the nervous system in a low-grade state of fight-or-flight. We also explore something often misunderstood: breath is not just about oxygen. Carbon dioxide plays a vital regulatory role in the body, influencing anxiety, focus, heart rate, and nervous system balance. When we breathe too quickly, we stimulate. When we breathe slowly, we regulate. This episode explains why slow breathing at around 5–6 breaths per minute strengthens vagal tone and builds long-term resilience, not through force, but through consistency. You’ll be guided through a simple coherent breathing practice you can return to anytime you need steadiness. An invitation to speak the language of breath. A doorway back to safety - one inhale, and exhale, at a time. 48: Understanding your Nervous System Archetype

Why do you push when you’re overwhelmed…but shut down when something really matters? Why do you over-give in some relationships…and withdraw in others? In this episode of Golden Cor, we explore your nervous system - not as something to fix, but as something that has been trying to protect you. Your patterns are not random. They are intelligent. Over time, your body develops protective responses to stress - often moving through fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. These responses shape how you show up in your work, your relationships, your creativity, and even your ability to rest. Inside this episode, we explore: – Why your nervous system’s primary job is safety– How protective patterns form through lived experience– The four core stress responses and how they show up in women– Why understanding your dominant pattern changes everything This isn’t about labelling yourself, it’s about understanding yourself. When you recognise your nervous system archetype, you stop asking, “What’s wrong with me?” and start asking, “What does my body need right now?” As mentioned in the episode, click below to access the: Nervous System Archetype Quiz, a gentle next step toward working with your system instead of against it. Comment below which archetype came through for you! I would love to know. Press play and let’s explore this together.
