DIGIMPACT.EU is a dynamic digital learning and innovation platform designed to empower students, academics, and professionals with the skills they need to thrive in the digital era. We are chating with Zoe Lachana, who holds an Integrated Master's Degree from the department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering at the University of the Aegean. About the Speaker: Dr. Zoi Lachana holds an Integrated Master's Degree from the department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering at the University of the Aegean. She subsequently completed postgraduate studies in Technologies and Management of Information and Communication Systems, specializing in e-Government, at the same institution. In 2024, she earned her PhD, focusing on the development of a scientific foundation for Digital Governance. She is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher and Project Manager at the Information Systems Laboratory of the University of the Aegean. Since 2017, she has participated in numerous European and national research projects, including digiGov EDIH, ManyLaws, TODO Horizon Europe, and PROMETHEUS, with a particular focus on Legal Informatics, Interoperability, Open Data, and Smart Cities. She has also contributed to the organization of international conferences and educational initiatives, such as the Samos Summit on ICT-enabled Governance, the OpenGov Summer School, and the DigiBus Summer School. In addition, she has served as a Research and Business Process Modeling Consultant (BPMN, BPR) for public sector organizations. Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Citizen Science, and Digital Governance at both local and international levels. She has authored scientific publications in international journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters, and has contributed to the preparation and management of research proposals under major funding frameworks, including Horizon Europe, ERASMUS+, and national research programmes.
