Inside Out is an original audio series from Universal Design Studio and Design Anthology UK exploring how human behaviour and design connect. This five-part podcast explores the connection between human behaviour and design in casual conversations between Universal’s directors and brand pioneers, hosted by Design Anthology UK’s editor-in-chief Elizabeth Choppin. Each episode pinpoints a human emotion or action – ‘belong’, ‘remember’, ‘make’, ‘dissent’ and ‘choose’ – to investigate how designers and brands approach their work with these inherent instincts in mind.

How can human senses such as touch and smell come into play when considering the design subtleties that define a product, service, or architectural space? How can an architectural context inspire or empower certain human behaviours and influence emotion, and if researched, can designers purposefully create spaces to bring out the best in people?     Dissent

    To dissent means to differ in opinion from a majority position, often representing non-conformity and a challenge to societal norms.
