    Connective Tissue Disorders and Endometriosis with the Hypermobility MD

    Dr Linda Bluestein, the Hypermobility MD joins this podcast to discuss the impact of connective tissue disorders like EDS, POTS, and MCAS and endometriosis.  Linda Bluestein, M.D. is an integrative pain medicine physician and former ballet dancer specializing in treating hypermobility disorders and other conditions involving persistent pain. In addition to her private medical practice, Hypermobility MD, Dr. Bluestein is the founder and co-host of the podcast, “Bendy Bodies with the Hypermobility MD,” and former co-host of “Hypermobility Happy Hour.”  Dr. Bluestein is the Director of Education for the nonprofit, EDS Wellness, Inc. and founder and executive director of Bendy Bodies, an organization dedicated to empowering hypermobile performing artists. She has published a number of original research papers; presents work at national and international conferences, and is a contributing author for the book, Disjointed - Navigating the Diagnosis and Management of Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders. Dr. Bluestein is a member of the Board of Directors for the Bridge Dance Project, the Allergy and Immunology Working Group for the International Consortium on EDS and HSD, the Advisory Board for Doctors for Dancers, and the Resources Committee for the Dance Healthy Alliance of Canada.     Partner Support and Supporting Partners with Endometriosis

    Because when one partner has endometriosis, everyone around them has endometriosis we invited Brandon Johnson, a mental health counselor, to discuss how best to support your partner when endometriosis is the third person in your relationship. Brandon is a licensed Social Worker whose goal is to guide you through life's most complex and difficult matters. Brandon has battled infertility himself, and realized that for many partners, especially men, the infertility journey is lonely.     Endometriosis: Are adhesions creating wreaking havoc in the endometriosis pelvis? Do they contribute to pain? Do they contribute to fertility issues?

    Time to listen in and learn all the truth about endometriosis. This podcast has something for everyone in the endometriosis community. The Endometriosis Summit rounded up three of the top endometriosis and adhesion specialists in the country for this in depth discussion on the newest thoughts and approaches to adhesions in the person with endometriosis. This episode features Dr. John Dulemba, an excision of endometriosis and robotics specialist who focuses on adhesions and preventing recurrent disease. Dr. Jessica Opoku Anane from California joins Dr Dulemba and discusses everything in the person with endometriosis that should be evaluated and Dr Patrick Yeung, a reproductive specialist who also performs excision in St Louis, Missouri. Dr. Dulemba works with second look surgeries and Dr. Yeung is publishing on the use of Gore-tek to prevent adhesions in the fertility patient. The evening is hosted by Dr Andrea Vidali, @endometriosis_surgeon himself, who discusses the surgical techniques to prevent adhesions and how the immune responses of endometriosis may cause pain and miscarriage. Dr. Vidali is the Co-Founder of The Endometriosis Summit and practices in Hoboken NJ and New York City.
