Despite hopeful gasps and flashy promises, many healthcare innovations never make it to the market, ultimately stalling against the countless barriers preventing their adoption. The culprit ? Increasingly complex healthcare systems, lack of understanding of market realities, a disconnect between innovation and care delivery, backward policies, complex regulations... and many more that we uncover and explore through conversations with innovators, healthcare professionals, and public decision-makers. #1 - Back to basics: how clinicians & institutions approach innovation

What do those engaged in care delivery expect from innovation ? What kind of innovation do they adopt? What role should they play in the innovation process? How can we innovate closest to real needs? Where do we even start? In this episode, Florian Rossiaud-Fischer (Director within the Swiss Medical Network, former Chief Innovation Officer at Hôpital de la Tour) gives us a behind-the-scenes perspective of clinicians' and healthcare executives' day-to-day, and how they perceive innovation in it. Together, we explore: Best practices for innovators The difference between the public and private sectors' freedom to adopt innovation A rare perspective: innovating in the way our healthcare systems function to increase resilience and efficiency, with the example of the Swiss Medical Network's Viva Health initiative for integrated care Value-based healthcare, and why it can be a guiding star to develop innovation that matters Barriers to adoption we tried to solve The disconnect between innovation & care delivery Innovators' common mistake: bitting more than you can chew How healthcare systems' complexity hinders adoption Innovations having to meet the expectations of a large variety of stakeholders How the public sector's obligation to "serve all" can slow down innovation adoption ... more in the episode For the curious ones Value-based care (basics) ICHOM (International Consortium for Health Outcome Measurement) The Swiss Medical Network Viva Health The Genolier Innovation Hub ❤️ Show us some love ! #0 - Introduction 🇫🇷
