Make Your Mindset Your Superpower and Get Fit for Life with Allan Misner

Make Your Mindset Your Superpower and Get Fit for Life with Allan Misner

Allan Misner is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer, a Precision Nutrition Level II Master Health Coach, and a Functional Aging Institute (FAI) Certified Functional Aging Specialist who helps people over 40 lose weight and get fit so they can live the life they were meant to have.
Allan has his own story of personal transformation when he had a wake-up call just before his 39th birthday. A former athlete, he let himself go as work stress, a toxic relationship, and poor health choices left him out of shape and overweight. At that moment he decided to make a change, improve his lifestyle, and regain his fitness.
It wasn’t easy, but eventually he reclaimed his health, fitness, and well-being, and now he is on a mission to help others do the same. He is also the host of the 40+ Fitness Podcast, and author of the award-winning book titled “The Wellness Roadmap: A Straightforward Guide to Health and Fitness After 40,” and owner of the 40+ Fitness Online Personal Training.
Allan shares his personal story of transformation, including how he spent eight years riding the roller coaster and countless waves of success and failure, which made him realize that simply making that decision wasn’t enough. So, one day, while lying on the bed of a hotel room, hungover and overweight again, he made a commitment to his health and well-being.
It was the shift in his thinking which changed his life. He used the same focus and dedication he used in his professional life, and over the next eleven months he lost sixty-six pounds of fat, gained eleven pounds of muscle, and completed a Tough Mudder with his twenty-year-old daughter.
Allan shares many important insights, life lessons, and valuable insights on how each and every one of us can achieve our health and fitness goals by shifting our mindset, taking small steps, and moving forward. He emphasizes that we all have a responsibility to ourselves and the people we love to be the best version of ourselves that we possibly can be.

The Accidental Athlete and Running for Your Life with Barry Karch

The Accidental Athlete and Running for Your Life with Barry Karch

Barry Karch is the owner of Real Estate Power Houses, host of the Running for Your Life podcast and accidental athlete who is passionate about outsmarting Father Time through running or any other physical activity, especially as we get older.
Barry encourages all of us to reject the belief that we can’t get better as we get older, to embrace the fact that each decade can be better than the one before, and celebrating what we are able to accomplish, no matter how big or small.
Barry describes his journey of how (and why) he rediscovered running at a later age and finding it far more enjoyable now than he did when he was younger. He was enjoying it so much that his wife casually asked him if he was going to start doing races again. Intrigued by the question, he wondered if he actually had the strength and ability.
That launched him on a remarkable journey of taking on physical challenges that he never would have believed possible, starting with a 5K and raising the bar a little higher with each additional challenge. He talks about training for and completing the 29029 challenge, which is a hiking challenge that equals the height of Mt. Everest, signing up and completing the CFF Tower Climb 2024, which consists of running one mile followed by a climb of 925 stairs to the top of the Tower of America, and taking on his newest challenge, called “Rite of Passage,” which is led by former Navy Seal Chadd Wright, takes place in the mountains of NW Georgia.
The Rite of Passage requires continuous movement for 24 hours and is guaranteed to break you down and discover things about yourself you never knew before. It is also designed to help participants grow physically, mentally, spiritually, and form life-long relationships with your team members. I think it sounds terrifying, but Barry is all in and can’t wait to do it.
Although Barry has accomplished amazing things in the past two years, he is incredibly humble, telling the listeners that there is nothing special about him, and if he can do it, so can you! His philosophy is to not be afraid to try new things, to keep moving, stay active, and refuse to get old.

The Power of Kindness, Positivity, and Self-Love with John Lawyer

John Lawyer is a Universalist, Spiritual Guide and Seeker who served in the U.S. Army in Kuwait, Bagdad, and Kandahar as a counterintelligence special agent and asymmetric warfare specialist responsible for coordinating various operations in Afghanistan for six years.
John has gone from receiving a bronze star for counterterrorism operations to walking through a swamp of sadness to an amazing path of spiritual healing and self-awareness. He is now a guide for Kishar, a non-profit online spiritual community, and offers individual spiritual and coaching services as part of the Kishar Spiritual Community.
John shares his personal transformation from transitioning from a military life and the culture of war to civilian life, along with all of the difficulties that go along with it. He describes what he calls “the lost youth aspect of war as well as the darkness that sometimes exists in the western industrial military complex."
Through his own personal journey of transformation, he discovered that we are all connected, and that we should have better conversations to become more united even if we disagree.
