    New Podcast Season, New Hope

    Alex and Scott were on the razors edge… will Stephen Ross screw everything up yet again? Will we keep the clown coach that Scott in particular despises? And with the balance of the future of this podcast in the wind… we got what we wished for. New hope. Sullivan wasn’t our first choice based on resume, but, we both liked him for the job. Who knows what questions were asked and what answers were given in those interviews? Honestly we would love to know. We’re good with the choice. Now, the Harbaugh firing was possibly the impetus that forced McDoofus out? Scott and Alex disagree, at least in pecking order, of who we want for our next head coach. Listen in to us examine the new GM, and address our current coaching candidates, and postulate about who else might be added to the interview list. Alex has a One Cool Thing to close out the episode (although not sure he really gets the purpose some times).

    Season 8 Wrap, 2025 was another tough year to be a Dolfan

    We recorded this on black Monday following the blowout loss to the Patriots and watched the newswire for any changes right up to the time we hit stop. Soon after it came out that McDaniel was PART of the GM search team. Alex and Scott yelled at each other over the phone, so frustrated at the sheer stupidity of the organization we’ve followed and cheered for our entire lives. Before we get dramatic, we’ll wait and still see where the chips fall. Will this be the last episode of this podcast EVER? It very well might be. We’ll do something else in the future if it is. Listen in as we talk about who we like for the next Dolphins GM, and who we are looking at for the next head coach – assuming that McDoofus was gone. 2026 is looking bad friends. Our wealthy but poor leadership takes away hope every year.

    Won’t Get Fooled Again

    Yes… that Who song from the seventies was going through Scott’s head as Alex sat down this morning to record our new episode. We both feel this loss was the death knell for McDaniel, and it’s way past time. Why? Listen and we’ll regurgitate a few things we’ve said all along, as well as use other teams as examples to follow. In terms of building a winning franchise, a company of excellence, Stephen Ross has been an abject failure – but what can we do? Try again and hope better choices are made. Let’s lay it out again in clear simple language, “this” is what we need to attract a GM from a winning tree. “This” should be featured on his resume. “This” is what should be done about McDaniel.     Relax and Enjoy, it’s the Jets

    It took a few extra days to line things up this week, but Alex and Scott made it into the studio to record an enjoyable session. Where beating the Bills was a signature win, beating the Jets was an enjoyable ride. From the dismal beginning of the season, to ripping off four W’s in a row, ugly or not, this one was a pleasure. They get to dive into many positive aspects of how the Dolphins handled business this week. Can the Dolphins go to Pittsburgh and beat the Steelers? We think so! Listen and understand why. Will they?     Post Turkey W

    The Saints are the Aints again. Remember those days? Our Dolphins got a miracle from Minkah 2pt interception return to seal a win against one of the NFL’s worst teams. Since Alex and Scott have not connected since before the mediocrity in Madrid, there is a lot to cover. We don’t understand the groups on social media that think this team has a chance at the playoffs. They must be on drugs, right? Anyway. this episode contains thoughts on our “win streak” including takeaways from the Saints game, and some quick thoughts on the upcoming matchup against the Jets. The Dolphins should win and continue the streak. Will they? The end of the episode always brings the positive with One Cool Thing.

    Our eyes, do they deceive us?

    Both Alex and Scott couldn’t wait to talk about the Bills game, and everything surrounding it – but it took two days to find a hole in our schedules. As the front office purge continues, Buffalo came to town and no one in professional sports gave the Dolphins a chance, including Vegas (and us). Yet, not only did the Dolphins win, but they dominated the scoreboard. Alex has it broken down – he knows why this happened.They can’t let go of the changes happing to the team, and scratch that surface. So Miami is going to Spain!     A New Hope

    Alex and Scott hit the studio prior to the final game of the World Series on a Saturday afternoon to catch up with our Dolfans friends. Scott’s sipping on a margarita, Alex a coffee. We start with the elephant in the room – that thing we’ve been asking for for YEARS has finally happened. Chris Grier is gone. What is our immediate reaction? What she would do about McDaniel? With Alex on travel, we couldn’t link up to discuss the Atlanta game, so we touch on that. Then it’s grit our teeth and briefly address the embarrassment against the Ravens. Around the NFL and One Cool Thing brings us home.

    We Deserve Better

    In a rare circumstance, Alex and Scott watch the game together and then immediately record the episode this week. Dolphins host the Chargers, and once again find a way to lose. As Alex calls them, the “Football Gods” tried to give Miami every advantage they could to help get a win at home? What happened that made us lose? The same weaknesses. Did any think that with 40 seconds left and a 1 point lead that we could stop the Chargers? Phillips came close, but nope. Denied. Now the Dolphins are headed off to Cleveland – another team they should beat, but… We are throwing in some extra commentary on what’s happening in the NFL just to keep things more interesting.

    Can you feel it coming?

    In the air tonight? Alex and Scott get together on a Monday to discuss our Dolphins. What happened in Carolina that took us from cruising to victory after the first quarter, to choking again in the fourth? Analyze this! We apologize for the gap between recording and publication this week, it’s been a rough one. More importanly, what will happen to our team this year? Are there new insights? Is there any hope? Social media is now overwhelmed with what we’ve been saying since half way though the season last year (really earlier than that). Hearken back to the “vote of no confidence” episode at the end of the season, following Ross’s ridiculous letter. Hey, there’s always the “One Cool Thing” segment – always positive.
