If you or someone you know has ADHD, you may have experienced the feeling of being stuck and unable to move forward with tasks or goals. We are here to help by sharing tips and strategies on how to manage this feeling. Firstly, ADHD paralysis is not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. You may not even realize it's coming until you're in it. It's a feeling of being stuck in a low mood and finding it challenging to get started with anything. This feeling can last for a day, weeks or even months, depending on the individual. Examples of ADHD paralysis can be going from high to low and staying low. It can be a lack of motivation, difficulty focusing, and feeling overwhelmed with even small tasks. However, there are ways to help when it hits. It's essential to talk about it and reach out to a support system, whether that be a friend or a professional. Doing something different can also help break the cycle of feeling stuck, such as going for a walk, changing your environment, or doing a different task that you find more enjoyable. It's important to remember not to beat yourself up when you get there. Instead, set a bare minimum of what you need to do to get through the day. Celebrate those small wins, no matter how small they may be. Join us as we delve into this topic and share our own experiences and tips on how to manage ADHD paralysis.
