    Shelton Gandy

    This Southern Miss Hall of Famer rushed for over 2,600 yards in his Golden Eagle career , and scored the winning touchdown during " the drive" against Mississippi State in Jackson. His childhood saw him waking up every morning at 4.30 to do family chores before school and football, and Shelton used that work ethic throughout his playing career and coaching career in junior college and high school.     While most know him as the Southern Miss Director of Athletics , Jeremy McClain was a record breaking, elite college pitcher at Delta State University. He holds numerous pitching records at DSU , and is the 2nd all time winning pitcher in the history of Division 2 college baseball. He played 5 years of professional baseball , and then became one of the youngest athletic directors in the country.     Mitchell Williams is a Southern Miss athletic hall of fame member, still holding two track and field records today. A long time TV personality , Mitchell gave up a legendary media career to work for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Why did he do that?     He has won more games in his first three years as head coach of the storied Southern Miss baseball program than any coach in program history.     Reggie Collier

    Reggie Collier is a Southern Miss legend . He became the first NCAA Division I quarterback to both pass for 1,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards in the same season. He was selected third overall in the 1983 USFL Draft by the Birmingham Stallions and later played for the Washington Federals and Orlando Renegades, totaling more than 4,100 passing yards and over 1,000 rushing yards in the league.
