    Philippians 1:21 states: "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." This verse expresses Paul's desire to live a life dedicated to Christ and his belief that death, while not necessarily a desirable outcome, would be a beneficial "gain" for him as he would be in the presence of the Lord To live is Christ": Paul emphasizes that his life is centered around Christ. He finds fulfillment and purpose in living for Christ's glory and spreading the Gospel.  "To die is gain": While Paul acknowledges that he is still in prison and desires to continue his ministry, he also understands that death is a transition to being with Christ. For a believer, death is a gain because it means entering into the presence of God and receiving eternal life.

    When will the great tribulation happen?

    Luke 21:20 says, “When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near”. This verse is part of a passage that describes the destruction of Jerusalem and the coming of the Son of Man.  Explanation This verse is a sign that the destruction of Jerusalem is near.  It also indicates that the days of vengeance have begun, and that this is a fulfillment of what is written.  The verse tells people to flee to the mountains if they are in Judea, to leave the city if they are inside, and not to enter it if they are in the country.  The passage also describes signs in the sun, moon, and stars, as well as distress of nations, roaring of the sea, and men's hearts failing from fear.  The passage also says that when these things begin to happen, people should look up and lift up their heads, because their redemption draws near.

    Should you pray for your country?

    Jeremiah 29:7 says, "Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare".  What does this verse mean? It encourages people to pray for the city where they are in exile and to desire peace for the people who took them captive.  It suggests that people's well-being is connected to their obedience to God's commands, including seeking the good of others.  It suggests that people can promote peace in their city by not inciting violence and by praying for their leaders and the people around them.  How can I apply this verse to my life?  I can pray for the leaders and people in my community.
