The Final Countdown - League One Preview

After a brief hiatus (and some technical gremlins that claimed our last recording), Sam is joined by a very happy Callum Davis, freshly celebrating his club's status as a Championship side for next season. In this episode, we dive into a midweek recap and look ahead to a massive weekend of EFL action. From Rotherham United’s confirmed relegation to the "squeaky bum time" at the bottom of the table, we break down the form, the tactics, and the dressing room leaks. Inside This Episode: Rotherham’s "Sleepwalk" Relegation: We discuss where it all went wrong for the Millers. Was the appointment of Matt Hamshaw an "interim move that went on too long"? We look at the culture shift and what happens when a club forgets the basics. The Survival Scramble: Exeter City and AFC Wimbledon are both looking over their shoulders. With the goals drying up for the Dons and Exeter facing a marathon-running Stockport County, who has the grit to stay up? The Playoff Hunt: Bolton Wanderers found their mojo against Stevenage, but can they secure that third-place spot? Meanwhile, Luton Town is riding high on a "Virtual Trophy" win. Can Jack Wilshere lead them to a perfect five-for-five finish to snatch a playoff place? Reading’s Dressing Room Drama: Rumours are swirling about a leak regarding Liam Richardson’s "old school" tactics. Is the criticism fair for a man who took them from 21st to mid-table, or is the budget-to-performance ratio just not adding up? The "Testimonial" Vibe: A look at Mansfield’s safe status and the bizarre 0-0 draw against Leyton Orient that felt more like a charity match than a professional fixture.
