We Are Standing on the Edge

Sinclair Fleetwood | Spiritual Mentor and Psychedelic Integration Coach

We Are Standing on the Edge is a podcast and long form writing project for the threshold where the mystical becomes practical. Where awakening becomes aligned action. I explore altered states, spiritual transformation,  psychedelic integration, nervous system wisdom, and the intelligence of Nature, and help you turn expanded states into embodied expression.

EP 169 | The Power of Plant Medicine Retreats (And Why They're Not For Everyone)

It's no secret that I am a fangirl of plant medicine retreats. The power of stepping way outside your comfort zone, immersing into nature, coming into community, and letting go of the roles you play in your everyday life can offer you an experience of seeing yourself more clearly than ever. To find answers, we often need silence and to unbury ourselves from the distractions of modern life. And to do so in the presence of others. And, these gatherings aren't going to solve everything in a weekend. They aren't meant to. In this episode, I share what actually happens inside plant medicine retreats, what shifts when you step out of your habits, remove the noise, and come into deep relationship with what's been simmering inside. I talk about the role of ceremony, the power of being held in a container that’s there to uncover your purpose, and why these environments can accelerate transformation in a way that everyday life often can’t. The goal is to come out of retreat with motivation and willingness to change, even when it's uncomfortable. I'll also touch on why not everyone is ready to do this work in this way, why there's no rush, and no need to force it. 2. EP 165 | Why Trying to Fix Yourself is Making You Sick

EP 165 | Why Trying to Fix Yourself is Making You Sick

From supporting your mitochondrial function to healing your liver to dialing in your ideal gut balancing protocol, the digital age has sold us hard on there being a “right way” to feel, look, have sex, do romance, eat, work, and be. Oh, and you’re doing it wrong. The truth is, following the white rabbit of optimal wellness is making people sick. Really sick. Chronically ill with multiple tiers of mystery symptoms with seemingly no end and no discernible root cause. Only an endless downward spiral that steals your time, energy, money, and health. Day by pain filled day. This is especially prevalent in healing professions. Guides, coaches, wellness practitioners, facilitators, doctors, nurses, and therapists all holding space for the collective while drowning in their own crusade to cope with the myriad of issues happening inside their own bodies and hearts and minds. This week on the show, we're getting into why trying harder is making your symptoms stronger. And uncovering the limiting belief lying at the core of it all. If this resonates and you want off the merry-go-round, this threshold is where our work together begins. 3. EP 164 | The Difference Between Healing and Leadership

    27 FEB

EP 164 | The Difference Between Healing and Leadership

Leadership. What a snooze. This is a word that feels stuffy and boring to a lot of wild-hearted, spiritually minded explorers. But strong, confident leadership – rooted in values and beliefs that center the well-being of all beings – is exactly what we need right now. There comes a point on the spiritual path where healing stops being expansion and starts being the place you hide so you can stay small. In this episode of We Are Standing on the Edge, I’m speaking directly to the high-functioning, spiritually seasoned leaders (the therapists, facilitators, healers, entrepreneurs, caregivers, and professionals who have been doing the work) holding it down for everyone else... And yet in your own life things have stalled out. Maybe you're battling health issues, or ping-ponging back and forth between depression and anxiety so fast your head is spinning. Endless self-development, plant medicine journeys, certifications, shadow work, and integration cycles have become a sophisticated form of spiritual perfectionism that's stealing the very thing we claim to treasure most. Our presence. Awareness is necessary, but that alone will never initiate you into embodied leadership. The real question isn’t whether you still need healing. It’s whether you are willing to step into the realm of leadership your soul came here for.
