Several of these states are pushing laws that outlaw any speech deemed to be antisemitic. There's a rancher in Texas sending red heifers to Israel, which is a step to engineer the apocalypse, in his mind. Why is this happening? Are Jews the "chosen people"? Why is this a thing people say? America was founded by Puritans. That Puritan spirit has remained a guiding spirit of American culture and society even today. In the early years, many Christian Puritans were looking for witches to burn at the stake. This is still happening today. What is different in modern times is, while we have lost the spirit of Christianity, broadly speaking, Puritanism is still there, only now fueled by a secular religion.
