On this episode of Sasquatch Theory, I interview Mark from Colorado, an experienced hunter, trapper, bowhunter, and outdoorsman who has spent decades exploring the mountains and backcountry of the American West. Mark grew up on a farm in northeast Nebraska and eventually moved to Montrose, Colorado, in 1987. As he spent more time trapping, hunting, camping, Jeeping, and exploring remote areas of Colorado, he began experiencing strange events that he couldn't explain. Early experiences included animals mysteriously disappearing from his traps and an overpowering musky odor that Mark would encounter again years later. While sitting on a mountainside, he also experienced small green pine cones being thrown in his direction. During another camping trip, Mark witnessed what appeared to be a massive hand slowly pressing against the side of his tent. His experiences continued in areas around Silverton, Norwood, Grand Mesa, the San Juan Mountains, and the Uncompahgre Plateau. One of Mark's most detailed encounters occurred in a secluded meadow on the Uncompahgre Plateau. Mark describes watching a jet-black, heavily muscled primate-like creature rise from behind a log before eventually moving across the meadow on all fours. He was able to observe its face, body proportions, hands, feet, hair, and unusual movement in broad daylight. When Mark attempted to follow the creature, he began hearing what he describes as mouth pops or knocks coming from different directions. He quickly realized the creature he had seen might not have been alone. Mark also shares an encounter with what he believes was a juvenile Sasquatch while traveling through the northern Rocky Mountain region, along with an unusual experience near Norwood, Colorado, where he repeatedly heard a male voice in his mind telling him, “You can't camp here.” Toward the end of our conversation, Mark discusses his personal beliefs regarding the origin and nature of Sasquatch, including his belief that they may have a connection to the Nephilim. These are Mark's personal interpretations of his experiences, and viewers can decide for themselves what they believe.
