After 25 years at the Late Night desk, Conan realized that the only people at his holiday party are the men and women who work for him. Over the years and despite thousands of interviews, Conan has never made a real and lasting friendship with any of his celebrity guests. So, he started a podcast to do just that. Deeper, unboundedly playful, and free from FCC regulations, Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend is a weekly opportunity for Conan to hang out with the people he enjoys most and perhaps find some real friendship along the way.

Kathakay! … as God made her
This podcast is an absolute gem, a supernova shining in the void and darkness of the podcast universe. I wish I could convey better what listening to hours and hours of this podcast gave me but I will try using words such as: joy, laughter, reflections, exhilarating, long dogs generating longer dogs, Nixon impressions, big D history, US President facts. There are so many inside jokes I feel almost part of the dream team made up by Conan, Sona and Matt. I wish that was true even if they don’t even know I exist. The Summer episode of 2020 are my go-to when I have a bad day, they never fail to cheer me up with the banter between the three. Conan expresses a type of humor I grew up with in a Catholic Italian family and I actually never experienced a professional comedian embrace that style before. Love you guys and I am advocating to all my friends to listen to this podcast however I understand only the chosen ones really grasp this absolute precious gift that this podcast is. With great respect, love and affection. S
Driving to a Hungarian funeral
My wife and I were driving to her grandmother’s funeral in Hungary and I put on your latest episode with Bill Burr and was laughing my ass off together with you guys on your 70s references and JFK initiations and my wife might have dozed off a few times but towards the end she just looks over at me and says ‘This is so annoying.” It surprised me because when Bill Burr was here in Prague she laughed hysterically so I’m starting to think that she doesn’t find you funny. I’m curious if you get this reaction from other Hungarian women? Anyway, for what it’s worth, I think this is the best podcast out there. 5 stars!
Always cheers me up!
I’m an Indian guy living in Prague. Although I’m an introvert, the lockdowns did get to me and this podcast is really helping me get through the pandemic. I listen to it when I go for a run and this sort of motivates me to go running everyday so that I can listen to the podcast. I’m making my way through all the older episodes and I love it!
