Thank you for subscribing to the Nkata Podcast Station. This is a project realised by the Igbo-Nigerian visual artist and thinker, Emeka Okereke. "Nkata" is an Igbo word which simply translates to Conversation. Thus, the two running shows – Arts & Processes and Dots of Thoughts – are conversations with artists/ artist practitioners across myriad mediums of expression. The foremost aim of the project is to articulate artistic processes and trajectories while conversing form, content and meaning. It is a 21st century project in the sense that it aims to track the different routes of our human relations through artistic interventions as practiced by those whose disposition is one of constant border crossing.
You will hear from artists and creatives from different parts of the world. Those whose movement are exemplary of the impulse to inhabit the interstice between "Here and Elsewhere".
This project is archival in nature. We want our listeners to have access to the wealth of knowledge collated and arranged within these conversations. As a paid subscriber, we offer you bonus contents. Sometimes, a long and detailed version of a given podcast conversation. It could also be snippets of audio materials that further expands the context of a conversation.
