Meet the 2025 Coach of the Year: Ryan Dolin

Last year, Ryan Dolin tried a new approach while coaching football to 10-year-olds: he told them the coaches would just sit on the bench and watch. For that game, the kids got to call their own plays, as the quarterback led the offense and a linebacker guided the defense. Dolin is the Northbrook Park District's 2025 Coach of the Year. Register by February 18 to Save 10% on Most Summer Camps

The Northbrook Park District offers dozens of summer camp options for children ages 3 to 14, including arts, theater, dance, chess, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, skateboarding, ice skating, hockey and golf. Camps cover nine weeks of summer, with pre-season camps in early June and post-season camps through mid-August. Families Can Win a Free Week of Camp at Summer Camp Open House

Families are invited to a Summer Camp Open House from 5:30 to 7pm on January 15 at Techny Prairie Activity Center, located at 180 Anets Drive in Northbrook. Camp supervisors will share information and answer questions, and participants can receive giveaways and enter a drawing for a free camp week and other prizes. Children are welcome. Community Invited to Celebrate Techny Prairie Activity Center’s 5th Anniversary

To celebrate its 5th anniversary, Techny Prairie Activity Center is offering a month filled with special events, including an anniversary party open to the public on January 10.
