Nobody Ever Hears About John Krasinski's Bad Behaviour

Hello angels. On the agenda today: the fuckery that is the Golden Globes, the legend that is SOPHIE, why AOC is being criticised for speaking out about her trauma, why ARod is about to get dumped by JLo and the very bad but very bingeable book by Kim Kardashian’s Paris robber, which includes a cameo from Tracy Chapman.

A Very Ultra Summer With... AJ Clementine

A Very Ultra Summer With... AJ Clementine

Hello angels. In our last installment of our #VeryUltra summer (we're heartbroken too), we’re thrilled to be talking to Tik Tok sensation—830,000 followers and counting—and trans activist AJ Clementine. AJ began her career on Youtube, offering a raw and vulnerable depiction of her own experiencing transitioning. Now, she's one of the most formidable emerging forces in the Australian media, working with the country's biggest fashion and beauty brands, including being the first trans model to front an underwear campaign for Bonds. We talk to AJ about the pitfalls of having such a prolific online presence, what it's like to have the internet obsess over your relationship, how important it is to have healthy depictions of transness in pop culture, among many other things. We truly could not think of a more Ultra moment to leave our series on—we can't wait for you to listen, and please rate, review, and subscribe.

This episode is bought to you by our friends at Ultra Violette, who have partnered with After Work Drinks for the whole summer. Long time listener, first time reviewer

Okay can’t believe it’s taken me so long to rate review and subscribe, but as a Spotify listener, I took the time to switch platforms and say this. I have listened to AWD from the start and you two continue to blossom (every episode!) into even more aware, compassionate and responsible role models, esp. as your listener base grows alongside you! You deserve every success. You’re iconic. Thanks for all the laughs. Love you

Casual, witty, and intelligent

I usually don’t follow celebrity news but this one is a lovely combination of intersectional social issues, politics, and “celebrity culture”.

I only listen to the episodes without guests since I am not really interested in that format... However, I thoroughly enjoy the critical dialogue between Grace and Isabelle - truly wonderful hosts! 🖤

As far as recommendations go, I would love more details on beauty standards within the fashion/celebrity industry and consumerism promoted by celebs and by “influencers” online.

Cheers from Germany!
