It’s common on CheapShow that we’ll have to look at the genesis of a very popular (or obscure) brand and often run straight to the arms of Wikipedia. Well, no more! In this week’s episode, Paul’s found a book called “How It All Began” that gives the potted history of some of the world’s most popular brands. There’s way too much to cover in one episode, so the cheap chaps pick a page each and find out more about the birth of plasticine and Y Fronts. Yes, Y Fronts! It’s a book that may come in handy in the future. Gannon’s Golden Games returns with a board game based on a reasonably recent ITV show that Paul & Eli have never heard of, nor care much for. However, it leads to one of the most exciting, twisty and thrilling games in the pod’s history. As if all that wasn’t enough, Graxton Industries have challenged CheapShow to create an event for sponsorship in the near future, but will their eventual plan be any good? Only time will tell. Also… Can Eli PLEASE stop grabbing his crotch, please?!

It’s another week of American snacks as Eli brings more sweet treats to the table. How will the Cosmos Oreos, Hostess Orange Cupcakes and Dr Pepper Peeps go down? More importantly, what exactly do Horse flavoured fried bread taste like? Paul and Eli are going to find out. There are some musical curios to listen to this week, and in a change from the norm, Paul is bringing the vinyl record goodness instead. There is a fascinating dive in the life of radio presenter and “soul singer” Steve Walsh and we also find out what a disco hit designed to entice Burnley Building Society customers sounds like… Especially when you consider who wrote the lyrics! Sadly, the addition of music to the show means another appearance from Trackbot and he still being defiled by anyone and everyone! It’s all very sticky business.

Every year Eli races off to Florida to spend time with his family, but he always makes sure he brings back something for the show. This week on CheapShow, Eli has a big bag of bounty filled to the brim with all kinds of snacks, treats and drinks. Maybe too many. It’s a food stuffed episode of CheapShow that has the cheap chaps tackle Buffalo Cheetos, Doritos Dinamita Sticks, Hot Nuts and (sadly for Paul) potted meat. Horrible potted meat. Hopefully the soft drink segment of the podcast will wash away any unpleasantness, as there are three fun sodas to sample. The only downside is that this part of the show allows Paul to make a load more enemies by proclaiming his hate for a particular type of pop! In amongst all the snacking, we get to catch up with TrackBot… Poor old TrackBot!

They said it would never happen, but somehow it has! For the first time in over 5 years, the Barshens team have gathered in London for a special reunion episode of CheapShow! Paul and Eli welcome Stuart Ashen, Barry Lewis, Chris Bullock, Ryan Livermore and Izzie Jones (kinda) into their podcast world. It’s a packed show. Paul kicks things off with a few Sharticles, ranging from sexed up whales and dead hamsters to late library books and smooth bollocks. Along the way, there’ll be plenty of nonsensical tangents too. Not only that, but Paul crafts a Gannon’s Golden Games Gauntlet edition of Bars Vs Hens. Barry versus Stuart in three games to test their agility, creativity and dexterity. It’s the ultimate game of skill with a shocking outcome! Ryan and Chris get to play along too, as they’ll be betting on who will win AND play The Price of Shite for some quality p’twings! It’s been long requested and finally, this week on CheapShow, you are getting what you asked for. It’s time to go Nightbussin! London has a large number of bus routes that start after midnight and run until the early morning. These routes help people get about the capital city at all hours, whether they are coming home from a late shift at work, or desperate to get home after a wild night out and the tubes are all closed. Night Busses are an important part of London and Paul and Eli are going to take one of these routes and invite you along. For their first adventure, for some reason, they have chosen the N18. It starts in Harrow and winds its way south towards Trafalgar Square. What will they witness, what will they remember and will it just be ANOTHER excuse for Eli to talk about himself and his younger days again? Either way, you’ll be on the journey with them in “real time”.
“Ding, Ding!”, the cheap chaps are off on another rambling adventure!

Sometimes, when Paul and Eli ask a big name to join the podcast, they fully expect the answer to be No. So when comedy legend Robert Popper agrees to appear, the Cheap Chaps are going to have to pull out all the stops to make this episode special.
