The Ten Commandments - (CONNECT Season 2 Ep 10)

Bishop Tim Dailey and Dr. John DelHousaye discuss the subject of the Ten Commandments (see Exodus 20:1-17). Since we are no longer under the law, but under grace, do they really have any relevance for us today? Is it true that the law enslaves us and grace sets us free? If so, what do I do with this portion of Scripture? Are these ten commandments even possible for us today? Should we observe the Sabbath? What does it mean to honor our parents? How should New Covenant believers who have fully embraced the truth of the Gospel respond to these commandments? If we truly believe that all Scripture is God-breathed and given for our good and spiritual edification, what about the ten commandments?  Don't miss this very important discussion. "What about the Old Testament? Is it for me today?" - CONNECT (Season 2 Ep 9)

Bishop Tim Dailey and Dr. John DelHousaye discuss the subject of how a disciple of Jesus is to approach the Old Testament Scriptures. Does the OT apply to me today? Should I only look at it as a historical account of a certain ancient people? What about 2 Timothy 3:16-17? Is all Scripture profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness? If so, what about the Old Testament? How should we read this portion of God's Word? What is a New Covenant believer to glean from the study of the OT? What would be the spiritual impact on a believer if he or she refuses to accept the validity of the Old Testament for them today?  Don't miss this very important discussion. "Deconstructing One's Faith and No Longer Identifying as a Believer" - CONNECT (Season 2 Ep 8)

Bishop Tim Dailey and Dr. John DelHousaye discuss the growing issue of deconstruction of the faith.  Numbers of once professing believers are now in the process of deconstructing their faith and turning away from the church. So many are now declaring that they no longer identify as a Christian. Why? Some are saying it is because they were hurt by the church or leadership within the church. Others are saying it is because of the hypocrisy within the church. What is happening? How are we to respond to those who say they are deconstructing their faith? How do we guard ourselves from going down this path? Is this a new problem or an old one resurfacing with a new name? What lessons are we to learn, and what steps should the church be taking to address this problem?  Don't miss this very important discussion. Bishop Tim Dailey and Dr. John DelHousaye discuss the subject of abiding in Christ. (Scripture Text: John 15:4-11) What does it mean for the believer to abide in Christ?  How do we abide in Christ? What happens to the believer that is not abiding in Christ? How does abiding and obeying work together? Don't miss this very important discussion.
