Stephanie’s in depth research, background information and passion for people’s stories and lives paired with Derrick’s law enforcement background and clear structured approach on cases makes this my absolute favorite podcast to listen to. With the Menendez brothers series I feel they have reached another level-it’s their best work so far! I’m putting it on here as well (even though they are probably sick of me saying it but): I vote for them to cover the Christian Andreacchio case some time in the future-they would do this case justice for sure!! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Crime weekly but I’m sure it’ll make a difference in people’s lives-just as their funding DNA testing for a cold case with the proceeds of their Criminal coffee company did! Rock on guys! Love you 🙌

Unfortunately I find both of the hosts quite smug. But at least Derrick has a foundation with his police background to be smug about. Stephanie just pretends to be superior for no reason. I do like the in depth look at cases even though sometimes it becomes a little repetitive. I just wish they would tone down the unnecessary banter (friends don’t talk to each other like that) and stop pretending to be better than others („my child wouldn’t do something like that because she is raised right”).

I have been watching Stephanie‘s YouTube Videos for years and really enjoy this podcast. Derrick adds another dimension to the cases with his knowledge as a retired police detective. Both of them together provide just the right amount of details paired with some anecdotes in between. It is easy to follow (even for non native speakers) and always very respectful towards the victims and their families. I appreciate that instead of solely focusing on the criminal, they put a main focus on the victim and who they were as well. Highly recommend this podcast!

I am absolutely in love with this podcast. I stopped engaging with true crime content a while ago due to the lack of respect for the victims, the lack of regard for their families - but this podcast really fulfils my standards. These two really manage to be respectful and detailed in their accounts of the cases, something that is mostly lacking in this genre. This podcast really sets the standards high
