    Darkness Has Names

    For centuries, humanity has named the things we fear lurking in the darkness. In this episode of Between the Worlds Paranormal Society, we step into the world of demonology and take a closer look at some of the names that have become associated with demons, evil, temptation, and the supernatural—including Lilith, Lucifer, Malik, and several others. We explore the major beliefs and stories surrounding these figures, while also tackling a question that often gets overlooked: What is the difference between a demon and the Devil? This isn’t a deep dive into every legend or centuries of religious history. Instead, we look at the major points, how these entities have been understood and portrayed, and how mythology, religion, folklore, and popular culture have shaped what many of us think of when we hear the word demon. Because whether you believe they are ancient entities, misunderstood legends, religious warnings, or simply stories created to give our darkest fears a name… Sometimes the darkness has a name.

    The Nature of Hauntings

    Not every haunting is the same—and not everything that goes bump in the night is a ghost. In this episode of Between the Worlds Paranormal Society, we break down six different types of hauntings: Shadow, Animal, Poltergeist, Intelligent, Demonic, and Residual. What separates an intelligent haunting from a moment in time that seems to repeat itself? Can the spirits of animals remain behind? What exactly is a shadow figure? And when activity becomes darker or more aggressive, where do we draw the line between a haunting, a poltergeist, and something potentially demonic? We explore the characteristics, theories, and reported activity associated with each type—and talk about what we look for when trying to understand what might be happening at a haunted location. Because before you can investigate what’s haunting a place, you first have to ask: What exactly are you dealing with?

In this episode of Between the Worlds Paranormal Society, we explore the darker side of superstition—from death omens and eerie cemetery traditions to broken mirrors, spilled salt, splitting the pole, and the familiar habit of knocking on wood. We dig into where these beliefs came from, what people once feared would happen if you ignored them, and why some still make us hesitate today. Maybe they’re nothing more than old stories passed down through generations. But when you’re standing in a cemetery after dark, sometimes it feels safer not to tempt fate.

    Beasts of Legend

    What if some legends aren’t just stories? In this episode of Between the Worlds Paranormal Society, we’re taking a break from ghosts and hauntings and diving into something a little different: cryptids. We start off by talking about some of the cryptids we’ve heard about over the years and which ones we actually think could be real. Because, really, when you hear some of these stories, you have to wonder—could there be something behind them? Then we dive into three very different legends: Mothman, the Wendigo, and the Chupacabra. We talk about the strange sightings of Mothman and the tragedy connected to Point Pleasant, explore the much darker history and folklore surrounding the Wendigo, and take a look at the bizarre livestock deaths and sightings that helped turn the Chupacabra into a legend of its own. Some of these stories have possible explanations. Others leave us with a lot more questions than answers. Are we dealing with folklore that grew over time? Misidentified animals? Something paranormal? Or, in some cases, could people really be seeing something we just haven’t been able to explain yet? Come hang out with us as we dig into the stories, theories, and weirdness behind three of the world’s most famous cryptids. Because every legend had to start somewhere.
