    Friends were easier to come by when we were younger. We spent a lot of time together, doing the same things, so it was easier to bond and stay connected. While those friendships are beautiful, they can honor a version of you that doesn't exist anymore. In this conversation, I'm defining old friends as those who have known previous versions of you and good friends as those who know who you are now. If you're lucky, the same person can be both. And ultimately, a solid community gives you a balance of old and good.
