    Episode 4 - Granny

    Machine Guns to annihilate the Orca. The Matriarch of the Southern Resident Killer Whales lives to be over 105 years old before her legacy comes to an end. She survived & guided her pod through all of the live captures that stole them from the sea, the countless dams that choked off their food supply, & the endless pollution invading their waters. Her legend lives on and continues to enchant the Salish Sea. A comedy writer turned Orcaholic, author & podcaster transitions from Vancouver Aquarium visitor to having his mind blown repeatedly, eventually joining the Southern Resident’s J pod, as their full time employee.

    Episode 3 - Slavequarium

    March 16, 2021. In the middle of a pandemic, I travel from Malcolm Island, B.C. to Miami, Florida to see Lolita myself. On the Atlantic coast a broken man has his 24 year reign as slave master & torturer of a Lolita, a female orca he identifies with… a little “too much" ended unceremoniously. On Pacific coast a life long advocate & campaigner for Lolita’s freedom reminds us of her real worth & identity. 26 years of working for her release has not broken this mans spirit, in solidarity with Lolita, he continues to call for her release today.

    Something is wrong at Miami Seaquarium.. They have been keeping an orca who doesn’t belong to them for over 50 years. A produce salesman turned vegan activist fights for over a decade on the street corner in front of Miami Seaquarium, turning away thousands of cars. A new legal fight launches in 2020 headed by The Lummi Nation of the Pacific North West. Still: 19,785 days later Lolita the whale remains alone in the smallest tank in the world. Episode 1: Tokitae
