Chat from the Heart (E06): „Es fehlt eine gesunde Männlichkeit" - mit Sebastian Heinzel

Chat from the Heart (E03): "Food is life" - with Dr. Miguel Henriques

Did you know that 80 percent of chronic disease in the world could be prevented or cured only with lifestyle changes, in particular changing to a whole, non-prcessed, plant-based nutrition? How does our nutrition influence our physical, psychological and emotional states? What changes, when we pay more attention to the effects of our food consumption? Why is vegetarianism not just an ethical question? Why is there such a rise in food intolerances? What are allergies and what do they show us? Why do we have so much resistance to changing our eating habits? How important is the factor of education? And which role plays food in the evolution of human consciousness? These are some of the questions I am discussing in a this episode with Dr. Miguel Henriques, who is a medical doctor, meditation teacher and spiritual guide living on his family farm in rural Portugal. Miguel has a broad knowledge on many topics that go far beyond traditional medicine and he uses a very hollistic approach to look at the major questions surrounding humanity. One of his main interests is nutrition. Miguel says that on his journey he developed a passion for knowledge about the structure and functioning of the human being, nature and Existence. He has immersed himself in intense sports, the study and practice of medicine, philosophy, physics, pedagogy and, most important of all, human and animal relationships, connection with nature, and Spirituality. It is his profound desire that every human being might come to touch the Divine in this Life, and his activity is devoted to find the best methods to do so. This is a public episode.
