    What’s the first thing you do after work or once you’ve finished all your responsibilities for the day? Do you make time for fun activities during the week, or do you save everything for the weekend? In this episode, we’re talking about after-work culture and how differently it looks around the world. In some countries, people fully enjoy their evenings without worrying about work the next day. In others, daily life is largely organized around work and productivity. In Germany, the conversation around work-life balance has become increasingly relevant. There’s an ongoing debate about whether Germans work enough, especially after Chancellor Friedrich Merz argued that Germany should become more productive, pointing to countries like Switzerland as an example. But what does this focus on productivity mean for our social lives? How important is it to meet friends, pursue hobbies, or simply enjoy life during the week—not just on weekends? Join me as we explore these questions and discuss what a healthy after-work culture could look like.     Season 1, Episode 3 - Are You the Same Person in Every Language?

    How many personalities do you have? I truly believe we all have different versions of ourselves. Different people know different sides of you—and sometimes, they only ever get to know one. For me, it goes even further. I feel like I have at least four different personalities, simply because I speak different languages. I spent the last week in London, surrounded by people from all over the world, and one thing really stood out to me: every single person seemed to change a little when they switched languages. Their energy, their humor, their confidence, even the way they expressed emotions—it all shifted. And honestly? I think it's a real thing. So here's my question: Can someone ever truly know you if they don't speak—or at least understand—your native language? Is there a part of who we are that only exists in the language we grew up with? I definitely have a strong opinion on this, and that's exactly what today's episode is all about. But I'm even more curious to hear what you think.     Social Media Detox – und plötzlich war alles anders

    Kennst du das? Du bist gestresst, gereizt, kannst nicht klar denken und irgendwie läuft einfach alles schief? Neue Ideen? Fehlanzeige.Dann ist es vielleicht Zeit für einen Social-Media-Detox. Ich habe genau das getestet: 7 Tage komplett ohne Social Media. In dieser Folge erzähle ich euch, warum ich den Detox gemacht habe, was sich bei mir verändert hat, welche positiven – aber auch schwierigen – Erfahrungen ich gemacht habe und worauf ihr achten solltet, wenn ihr selbst mal eine Pause einlegen wollt.     Trash TV macht dich schlauer, als du denkst – so lernst du Menschenkenntnis

    Ich oute mich hiermit offiziell als Trash-TV-Lover — und vielleicht solltest du es auch werden. Bevor du jetzt urteilst: In dieser Folge geht es darum, warum Trash TV viel mehr sein kann als nur sinnlose Unterhaltung. Denn am Ende kommt es nicht nur darauf an, WAS du schaust, sondern WIE du es schaust. Zwischen Drama, Red Flags und peinlichen Diskussionen kann man nämlich überraschend viel über Menschen lernen: Körpersprache, Manipulation, Unsicherheiten, Gruppendynamiken und Datingverhalten. Trash TV hat zwar einen schlechten Ruf, aber wenn man genau hinschaut, ist es fast wie ein Sozialexperiment. Vielleicht wirst du nach dieser Folge ja selbst zur kleinen Trash-TV-Maus. Viel Spaß beim Zuhören — und vergiss nicht, den Podcast zu bewerten und die Glocke anzumachen! ✨

    Denke groß & zeig dich – so bekommst du deinen Traumjob!

    Kennst du das Gefühl, im Job oder in der Ausbildung zu stecken und zu merken: Das ist es irgendwie nicht? Du spürst, dass da noch mehr geht – etwas, das dir wirklich Spaß macht. Aber gleichzeitig wirkt dieser Traum unerreichbar oder du hast keine Ahnung, wo du anfangen sollst. Vivien (17) hat mir geschrieben und mich an dieses Gefühl erinnert. Sie steckt gerade in ihrer Ausbildung, träumt aber davon, in die Moderation zu gehen – und fragt sich, wie sie den ersten Schritt machen kann & hat mich nach Tipps gefragt.  In dieser Folge spreche ich darüber, wie du lernst, größer zu denken, sichtbar für deine Ziele zu werden und aktiv auf deinen Traumjob hinzuarbeiten. Du bekommst konkrete Impulse und Tipps, die dir helfen, ins Handeln zu kommen – auch wenn dein Ziel gerade noch weit weg erscheint. Du hast selbst ein Thema oder eine Frage?     „It’s not that deep.“ - doch ist es!

    Wie oft hast du schon gedacht oder gesagt: „It’s not that deep“?Ich habe diesen Satz eine Zeit lang ständig benutzt. Und ja – oft hat er mir geholfen, mich zu beruhigen. Wenn ich beim Einkaufen etwas vergessen habe oder mich wegen Kleinigkeiten gestresst habe, war er mein Reminder: Alles gut, nicht so schlimm, it’s not that deep! Aber dann habe ich auf Social Media etwas bemerkt, das mir gar nicht gefallen hat. Immer mehr Menschen benutzen genau diesen Satz, um Ungerechtigkeit, Diskriminierung oder Hate herunterzuspielen. Plötzlich ist „It’s not that deep“ keine harmlose Floskel mehr, sondern eine bequeme Ausrede – um sich nicht mit Problemen auseinanderzusetzen, sich nicht zu reflektieren oder Verantwortung zu übernehmen. Der Moment, in dem ich den Satz endgültig anders gesehen habe? Als ich ihn in den Kommentaren unter einem Aufklärungsvideo über den Fall von digitaler Gewalt von Collien Fernadnes gelesen habe. Wie unangebracht ist das bitte? Ich war so angewidert.  Warum dieser Satz problematisch sein kann – und wann er vielleicht trotzdem seine Berechtigung hat – darum geht es in dieser Folge.
