I Spent 20 Years Reinventing Myself. Toy Story 5 Shows Why You Don’t Have To.

What if reinventing yourself is not really about becoming someone new? For more than 20 years in corporate life, I changed roles, companies and systems again and again. And almost every transition gave me another opportunity to reinvent myself. But after recently changing companies once more, something felt different. This time, I did not enter the new system asking: Who do I need to become here? I entered as the person I already am — corporate professional, coach, curious human being, someone building his own practice and still learning every day. And then I watched Toy Story 5. Underneath the story about toys, technology and staying relevant in a changing world, I saw something surprisingly familiar: what happens when the role that once gave you purpose, value or belonging begins to change? That question stayed with me. And it made me wonder whether all those years of reinvention were actually leading somewhere else. Maybe reinvention is not about creating a new version of yourself every time life changes. Maybe it is about becoming more and more able to show up as who you already are. In this episode of You’re Amazing, I explore that with you. We look at: what happens when an old role no longer fitswhy role changes can easily start feeling like identity changeswhat 20+ years of corporate transitions have taught me about reinventionwhat Toy Story 5 made me notice about relevance, usefulness and belongingthe difference between adapting to a new system and abandoning yourself to fit itwhy a Pause can help you recognize what genuinely needs to change — and what does not how your next chapter might become less about creating a “new you” and more about allowing more of you to show up Your question for this PauseThink about one role in your life that matters to you right now. If that role changed tomorrow: What would you want to carry with you? What might you finally be ready to leave behind? And when the titles, expectations and old ideas about who you should be become quiet for a moment: Who do you want to be when you walk into what comes next? If this reflection gave you a different way of looking at your own transition, subscribe and share it with someone who may be standing between an old role and a new chapter right now. What If Uncertainty Is Your Best Friend? with Jeffrey Schwab

If you are stuck in a decision, waiting for clarity, or trying to control what comes next, this conversation is for you. In this episode of JORMAZIN`, I’m joined by Jeffrey Schwab, founder of Uncertain Pathfinders and wonderfully, Chief Possibility Officer. Together, we explore how uncertainty can become less of an enemy and more of a companion. Not because everything becomes easy. But because we may not need the whole path before taking one small honest step. Jeffrey uses coaching, facilitation, applied improv, and playful experimentation to help people meet the unknown with more curiosity, courage, and connection. In our conversation, he shares how improv shaped his relationship with uncertainty, why he chose to put the word “uncertain” into his work, and how small everyday experiments can shift the way we relate to not knowing. This episode is not about fixing uncertainty or forcing clarity. It is about moving from overthinking toward action. From control toward curiosity. From needing the perfect plan toward trusting the next small “bunny hop.” And from feeling alone in uncertainty toward remembering that not knowing is part of being human. In this conversation: How to move when clarity has not arrived yet Why uncertainty does not always mean you are lost How improv can help us trust what emerges What it means to choose curiosity over fear Why small “bunny hops” can be more useful than perfect long-term plans How playfulness can create connection, even in serious moments Why being too attached to outcomes can limit possibility A simple everyday exercise to shift your relationship with not knowing & Why saying “I don’t know” can be honest, human, and connecting Question for your week: Where in my life am I waiting for certainty before taking one honest step? Or more simply: What becomes possible if I let uncertainty be my friend for a moment? If this conversation supported you, follow or subscribe - and if someone came to mind while listening, send this episode to them. You’re amazing! Not because you always know the path. But because something in you can keep listening, choosing, and becoming, even when the path is unclear. When You Can’t Explain It Yet | 10-Minute Pause & Sense

You’re amazing. I mean it. And maybe part of your amazingness is that you know more than you allow yourself to know. Not in a loud way. Not always in a clear way. Sometimes it starts as a tiny signal. A feeling in your body. A word that appears. A silence that suddenly feels full. A sense that there is something more here. Before you know, you sense. In this Pause, I explore what happens when you stop ignoring that quiet signal and start listening to it more closely. Because sometimes the thing you sense is not asking you to be certain. Maybe it is asking you to pay attention. In this Pause: Why your first signal is often the one you want to dismiss What happens when you override what you feel because you cannot explain it yet Why the body often notices before the mind catches up How one honest sentence can shift a conversation What it means to trust what you sense without turning it into truth too quickly Question for your week: Where in your life do you already sense something but you keep waiting for permission, proof, or perfect words? If this Pause helped you, subscribe and share it with someone who may need a little more space to listen to what they already sense. I am Jorma and You’re Amazing! You Already Know. You Just Forgot. | A Pause to Remember

What if the person you are looking for is not someone you need to become, but someone you need to remember? In this Pause, I explore what changes when we stop treating ourselves like a problem to solve and start meeting ourselves with curiosity again. Because some of the things we call self-knowledge may actually be old stories we have repeated for so long that they started to feel like truth: “I’m not disciplined.” “I always overthink.” “I’m bad at relationships.” “This is just who I am.” But what if those stories are not the whole truth? What if growth does not always mean becoming more? What if sometimes it means pausing long enough to remember what has always been there? In this Pause: Why growth does not always mean becoming more How old stories can quietly turn into identity What changes when you ask, “Is this still true?” Why curiosity can bring you back to yourself How to remember one thing that is still true in you Question for your week: What have you decided about yourself that deserves another look? If this Pause supported you, follow or subscribe and share it with someone who may need a moment to remember who they are today. You’re Amazing. Where Did Your Attention Go? | A Pause to Come Back

Have you ever been physically present somewhere - but mentally completely elsewhere? In this 10-Minute Pause, I explore one of the most generous things we can offer - to another person, to a moment, and to ourselves: our real attention. Because presence is not about being perfect. It is about returning. In this Pause: Why your body being somewhere does not mean your attention is there too What a trip through Japan taught me about collecting experiences vs. truly entering them The three levels of listening — and how they change the quality of every relationship Why coming back is not a failure — it is the practice Three simple invitations to bring more presence into your week Question for your week: Who or what is asking for you to really be here? What If Your Breaks Are Made of Gold? (10-Minute Pause)

Something broke. Maybe a relationship. A dream. A version of yourself you thought would last. And maybe your first instinct was to hide it or move on as fast as possible. In this 10-Minute Pause, I explore Kintsugi - the centuries-old Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics with gold. Not to hide the break. But to honour it. I’m not a ceramics expert. This is my lens, my understanding, and what this concept activated in me - including a broken mug, a always fully booked workshop, and a coaching moment I have never forgotten. This episode is for you if you’ve ever tried to get back to who you were before - instead of asking who you are becoming through this. In this Pause: A simple glimpse into Kintsugi - to join with goldWhy the break may be part of the story, not the end of itHow what we choose to repair can reveal what we valueWhy speed is not always healingA gentle Pause to sit with what is asking to be honoured Question for your week: What in my life am I trying to hide, rush past, or replace - that might actually be worth repairing with gold? Or more simply: What break in my story is asking to be honoured - not erased? If this Pause helped you, follow or subscribe - and if someone came to mind while listening, send this episode to them. You're Amazing. Now What? | The Learning–Action Loop

You're amazing. I mean it. Not because everything is perfect but because underneath the noise, the overthinking, and the old patterns, there is something whole in you. But how well do you actually know that person? In this 10-minute Pause, I explore one of the most powerful movements in personal growth: letting learning and action become partners. Not as a concept, but as a lived experiment you can start today. Because real change does not come from fixing yourself. It comes from getting to know yourself more honestly and then taking one courageous step from that knowing. In this Pause: Why insight alone does not create change but it is where change begins Why learning without action becomes a beautiful cage - and action without learning becomes exhaustion How the Learning–Action Loop works in real life What sports, morning routines, and listening to myself taught me about one true step How to begin without a life overhaul Question for your week: What do you already know about yourself - that is ready to be lived? Stop Waiting for the Fog to Lift - On Zuversicht, Hope, and your Next Step

You are hoping things will work out. You are hoping the decision becomes clearer. You are hoping you will feel ready — soon. And maybe that hope is exactly what is quietly keeping you still. In this 10-Minute Pause, I explore a German word that English doesn't quite have - Zuversicht - and why the difference between hoping and moving may be the most important shift you make this year. This episode was inspired by an evening in the room with Prof. Dr. Volker Busch - neurologist, psychiatrist, and one of Germany's most compelling voices on mental strength. His live program "Zuversicht" sold out in Hamburg. He was on stage for almost two hours. About one single word. I haven't stopped thinking about it since. In this Pause: Why hope is beautiful — and why it can become passive when it is the only place we stand What Zuversicht actually means, and why it reaches back more than 1,000 years Why the fog does not need to lift before you take the next step How Zuversicht is not manufactured — it is already built from the evidence of your own life Question for your week: Where in your life are you hoping — when something in you may already sense the next step?
