The purpose is to uncover and share the emotional, sensory, rhythmic, and imaginative dimensions concealed within the written text. We inhabit an age of relentless digital consumption. Our days are increasingly spent scrolling through screens, consuming an endless stream of information and entertainment, often without the experience of genuine engagement. In this process, we risk losing touch with one of humanity's oldest, most intimate, and most profound cultural practices: listening. An Evening with Irfan stands as a conscious response to that condition. It is founded on the belief that many literary works-whether classic or contemporary, celebrated or overlooked-reveal entirely new meanings when encountered through a sensitive and attentive voice. A familiar text can suddenly disclose its hidden rhythms, emotional undercurrents, humour, irony, tenderness, and intent when heard rather than merely read. This series affirms the enduring power of the spoken word and the transformative possibilities of attentive listening.
