… you know, like, I really wanted to LIKE this. But like, maybe the hosts should actively work on their dependence on verbal crutches like … like. Like, you know?

For a podcast that claims to love and hate musicals, I can only listen to so many episodes of people being negative. Earlier episodes felt relatively well balanced in that regard, but by this point the podcast should just outright say “one person who doesn’t know musicals and another who does know them, both doing their best to pick out all the ways in which they don’t like a musical”. If you already dislike musicals and want your opinion validated, listen to this podcast. If you’re hoping the hosts’ attitudes will become less hell-bent on picking everything apart, don’t hold out hope.
