    Shed Session 64: Lucy Leave

    Lucy Leave join Warren for an inspiring stripped back acoustic session in the open air. The birds are ever present song carriers. It’s a peaceful affair with just the essentials and cups of tea. Jenny, Mike and Pete treat us to 5 songs from their brand new album, Feelings Explorer 1 and 2, along with insights into writing and feeling alive. A rare insight into the art of feeling and the feeling of art. The conversation meanders through the wildflowers, luxury traps, playfulness, scary and sad films Feelings Explorer 1 and 2, how  we deal with the stuff we have and an homage to yoga.     Shed Session 63: Lee Switzer - Woolf

    It's been 3 years since Lee Switzer - Woolf joined Warren in the shed for an evening of music and conversation. We get to hear his latest songs specially arranged on acoustic guitar for Shed Sessions, and they sound extraordinary. We learn about Lee's songwriting process and gain a rare insight into his intriguing lyrics. The performance is moving and we are in awe of the stories Lee has thoughtfully weaved and laid out for us through song. We have been lifted by the music and honesty our guest has brought and are very excited to share this revitalising experience with you. P.S.     Shed Session 62: The August List

    Shed Sessions have stepped into Glasshouse Studios in the Oxfordshire countryside for this enticing episode with The August List. The music is bold, haunting, and beautiful. It also has the habit of transporting our host Warren into other realms. There's talk of horror films, a British Bullterrier in a field of turnips, tattooing Ryan’s artwork, and creating and recording music in different places to bring songs together. It’s a stripped back and acoustic set crafted specially for us. There’s double bass, violin, acoustic guitar, two exquisitely enter-twined voices and a shed load of soul.     Shed Session 61: Aftercare

    Aftercare (Brigid, Harry, Heather and Robbie) joined Warren and the crew for a performance that was out of this world. The Spring flowers have reached their peak and the Red Kites circle above as the Magpies chase after the nesting pair of Turtle Doves. This is a session to remember and to take along with you. We all just got a feeling that Aftercare have carved out something new and exciting with their music. The conversation is revealing although light hearted. This is a band clearly having fun and making the best music without constraint or affliction. They're truly doing it for themselves and you get to share this ground breaking performance first.     Shed Session 60: The Dreaming Spires

    Robin, Joe and Jamie from The Dreaming Spires are in the shed to play some stripped back songs from their phenomenal latest album ‘Normal Town’. Warren and Robin stir up memories of working together in 1998 at Oddbins in Oxford. The conversation then graces across: ​a work van, with a sofa in the back, used for touring​Warren’s CD copy of Normal Town ​beauty in the normal town​old school Didcot​painting and pottery pieces symbolising the cooling towers​school field trips to the power station​real life​making Dreaming Spires music videos and more in between. “music is love, it bonds people and holds them together in the universe as we're spinning around” - Warren, inspired by the band, their music and friendship.     Shed Session 59: Hööf

    Hannah, Tom and George from Hööf joined us for a springtime stripped back session in a little studio nestled on the banks of a stream in the Oxfordshire countryside. The performance was earthy and mystical and the conversation was filled with lovely thoughts and kindness. They played 5 exquisite songs and one unreleased premiere all acoustically! The conversation visited birdsong, rhythm in a kitchen, unique playing styles, an upcoming EP, recording in a barn, lino carving, physical music and Dijon live. You're in for a treat.     Shed Session 58: Mazawattee

    Chloe, Danny, Owen and Steve from Mazawattee perform stripped back versions of songs from their new EP 'Singles'. They finish the session with brand new song, 'One for the Road' with its first ever play for an audience for Shed Sessions. On top of all of this, they're the first band to be invited for a session in the new shed and they sure set things up for greatness in there. The conversation is fascinating as it winds gently along from mouldy cars, endless summers, merch and Tekeshi's Castle. It's a beautiful blend of lush tunes, charming chatter and inspirational surroundings. Thank you for listening.     What's in Your Shed?- Paper Concert Tickets

    Warren is back in the shed and he's found a stack of paper concert tickets. He's decided to start the new year off with a nod to the first "What's in Your Shed?" episodes by unlocking the stories within these palm sized passes. Each one reveals fond memories of gigs gone by and helps our Shed Sessions host to keep track of his life since 1993. It all began with an Elton John and Ray Cooper concert in an emptied out wave pool in Bophuthatswana and finds it's way to a rain soaked Radiohead show in South Park, Oxford and concludes with a Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds concert in Cardiff that got cancelled due to Covid 19. Each ticket is a portal to a very special time and place. Warren invites us to join him as he reminisces about music, family and friends all guided by the shows he went to. The power and influence of music is tangible throughout. It's the perfect prelude to another year which promises to be packed with more recordings of live music and conversation. Thank you for listening.
