#17 Chris Lulham - I Became Full Time Racing Driver, Thanks To Max Verstappen!

Chris Lulham is one of the strongest "sim to real" stories in modern motorsport. The British Team Redline standout dominated top-level sim racing, including wins at the iRacing Nürburgring 24 Hours and Le Mans Virtual, plus two VCO Esports Racing World Cup titles. In 2024 he switched fully to real racing and delivered an incredible Radical Cup UK SR3 season with 16 wins from 18 races and the championship. That breakout opened the door to Max Verstappen’s Verstappen.com Racing program. In 2025 Lulham stepped into GT World Challenge Europe, racing Endurance in the Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo and Sprint with Emil Frey Racing in the Ferrari 296 GT3. The results followed fast: a class win at the 24 Hours of Spa and Gold Cup titles, proving his pace translates from simulator to GT3 paddock. He also took on the Nürburgring challenge, including the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) in SP9 Pro, building experience on the Nordschleife. 🗓️ Mark our SimRacing Expo's in your calendar: SimRacing Expo Charlotte, North Carolina, USA: 22.-24.May 2026 SimRacing Expo Frankfurt, Hessen, Germany: 16.-18.Oktober 2026 💻 Website ➡️️ SimRacing Expo Frankfurt: https://www.simracingexpo.de ➡️️ SimRacing Expo Charlotte: https://www.simracingexpo.com ✅ Get your tickets for SimRacing Expo DE or USA: 🇩🇪: https://ticket.simracingexpo.de 🇺🇸: https://ticket.simracingexpo.com 📝 Social Media ➡️️ https://www.facebook.com/simracingexpo ➡️️ https://instagram.com/simracing_expo

  5. #15 James Baldwin - British GT Champion Reveals the Brutal Truth About Sim Racing vs Real Racing!

#15 James Baldwin - British GT Champion Reveals the Brutal Truth About Sim Racing vs Real Racing!

Today's episode features former British GT Champion, James Baldwin the British racing driver and professional sim racer who represents one of the most compelling career transitions in motorsport history. Born September 28, 1997, in Buckinghamshire, Baldwin's racing journey began at eight years old in competitive karting. He dominated the junior categories, winning five national championships at Daytona Motorsport between 2013 and 2014. However, at 16, financial constraints ended his traditional racing career. This setback proved to be a pivot point rather than an ending. Instead of abandoning motorsport entirely, Baldwin discovered competitive sim racing and quickly established himself as one of the world's elite esports drivers. His breakthrough came in 2019 when he won the World's Fastest Gamer championship, a prestigious competition judged by Formula 1 legends Juan Pablo Montoya and Rubens Barrichello. The prize: a full season in the British GT Championship with Jenson Button's Jenson Team Rocket partnership.Baldwin's real-world debut was spectacular. He won his first race, secured four pole positions, achieved three podium finishes, and finished the season fourth in the championship, immediately proving that virtual racing skill translates to track performance. Since then, Baldwin has competed in multiple 24 Hours of Spa events with Garage 59, achieved podium finishes in GT World Challenge Europe (including his class win at Jeddah), and been named Autosport's Esports Driver of the Year. His story challenges everything we thought we knew about how drivers develop. Join us as we explore the future of motorsport talent development, the intersection of gaming and racing, and one driver's quest to become the first esports champion to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans. 🗓️ Mark our SimRacing Expo's in your calendar: SimRacing Expo Charlotte, North Carolina, USA: 22.-24.May 2026 SimRacing Expo Frankfurt, Hessen, Germany: 16.-18.Oktober 2026 💻 Website ➡️️ SimRacing Expo Frankfurt: https://www.simracingexpo.de ➡️️ SimRacing Expo Charlotte: https://www.simracingexpo.com ✅ Get your tickets for SimRacing Expo DE or USA: 🇩🇪: https://ticket.simracingexpo.de 🇺🇸: https://ticket.simracingexpo.com 📝 Social Media ➡️️ https://www.facebook.com/simracingexpo ➡️️ https://instagram.com/simracing_expo
