Happened at least twice to me: I nearly missed my highway exit while listening to Mike or his carefully chosen audio clips insertions. The broader perspective he takes is well worth the time: not only manned and unmanned and animal missions of both US and Soviets are covered (and UK, and Australia…) are covered, but also sometimes how projects and contracting work (or fail), how engineering relates to other parties, how politics help or interfere. It is pleasing that for controversial events both sides are given time on the show. Being an engineer myself, I enjoy the depth of technical details. Mike‘s list of sources is a treasure in itself. If your friends are not nerdy enough to be hooked up directly by SRH, try treating them with BBC 13 Minutes to the Moon and Brady Heywood‘s Apollo 13, they‘ll want more and listen to Mike.
