In this weeks tailgate we check in on how we are holding up as the transfer portal finally comes to a close (2:26) and then we discuss the latest addition to the Texas Tech Basketball roster in Elijah Hawkins and what he adds for McCasland and the team. We do a quick shout out to the players drafted in last weekend NFL draft & a quick look at the baseball teams bumpy few weeks (25:36). In this weeks tailgate we discuss 2 key Red Raiders who are officially will be back for Grant McCasland next season (2:40) then we dive into the two newest Red Raider transfer portal commits (12:24). We talk about what's next for the staff after locking down two key pieces. Then we look back on what was a scary coaching carousel and how we handled the possibility of losing our coach yet again and what it was like rooting for Baylor to keep Scott Drew (32:08). In this tailgate we had to bring RC Mayfield back to the tailgate after Pop Isaacs hit the portal to discuss all things Texas Tech Basketball and the offseason. We start off by discussing the Steffe tweet (3:30) and RC's reaction to it. Then we dissect how we ended up with Pop in the portal (7:30) and discuss the other names that have entered as well. We shift our conversation to an overall view of this portal/NIL era and discuss programs that have struggled and succeeded during this era (25:46). Then we discuss how Texas Tech will handle this portal season (1:00:48), RC gives us some names to pay attention to in the portal, Devan Cambridge news breaks, and we get his thoughts on the Final Four. #WreckEm

In this week's tailgate we recap the disappointing loss to NC State in round 1 of the NCAA tournament (2:22). We discuss what went wrong and why the Red Raiders never seemed to get control of the moment. We end the hoops season by remember how special this season has been and the amazing job Coach McCasland did in year 1 to get this program back on track. With the end of the season comes Transfer Portal season, so we rank the guys on the squad based on how sure we are we will see them in the Red & Black next season (23:20). In this weeks tailgate it is officially March Madness! We discuss Texas Tech's trip to KC and what we learned from the Big 12 conference tournament (4:08). Then we shift our focus to the tournament that matters and the 6 seed for the Red Raiders (13:15). We talk about the draw for TTU, the matchup with NC State and peek ahead to see what could be a possible second round matchup with Kentucky.
