The Dive Down

Guys, the first thing I have to say: I love your stuff! You said you’re working so hard for this podcast, and reading that your work is worth it makes you happy? IT IS SO SO WORTH IT!!!!! I’m playing modern for 3 weeks now in paper and this is still such a new and unaccessible format for me (bc of all of these decks and thousands of cards), your podcast just gives me such a great overview about the meta and the decks being played. It is almost I’m sitting at a LGS and I can just listen to other people and learn from them how their decks work - this is so valuable! Now when I’m going to my LGS and I see my opponent plays a deck you were talking about I just know on a basic level what this deck is trying to accomplish! This is the most helpful thing ever! You’re giving cards a context and explain why they are strong in a certain deck - that’s something dry decklists on goldfish cannot provide and that’s information which is usually hard to get. Also your approach of gathering data about the meta and using this to judge how the meta is evolving is the only true way to present meaningful insights into the format. This is the stuff I wanna hear. Today, taking the bike to go shopping and seeing you published another episode made me really happy :) Thank you! Meluseek

I‘ve been listening to the dive down since i got into modern roughly one year ago. i really enjoy listening to the podcast, on the strategy level they give great insights into the ins and outs of different cards and interactions, the metagame breakdown is also super interesting. but mostly its a great pleasure to listen because the dive down team and their guests are just a great bunch of friendly and funny fellow magic lovers. keep up the great work!
