Clash of the Titans - Caravan Of Garbage

In 2010 two things were big. 3D films and Sam Worthington, both a result of Avatar from 2009. And whilst that franchise continues on Clash of the Titans (which incorporates both) acts as a time capsule of that era of film making. Also acting as a reboot of the 1981 Ray Harryhausen original movie it pits Perseus, the son of Liam Neeson's Zeus, against the Gods of Olympus including Ralph Finnes Hades who is threatening to release the Kraken on the ever increasingly disgruntled mortals of Greece. Tomorrowland - Caravan Of Garbage

Here we are at the conclusion of our Disney's Biggest Bombs series, rounding things out with Tomorrowland from 2015. Brad Bird who made a name for himself with the likes of The Iron Giant, The Incredibles and Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol again delves into live action with an epic tale of alternate dimensions, retro-futurism, robots, jet packs and George Clooney's. Maybe it was too early or maybe it was too late but it didn't make much of an impact upon release despite being a pretty charming and positive adventure. Shouting your friend’s name at the end of an exclamation is an entertaining way to underline your point, Mason! This podcast also invades my mind with James’s voice and makes me append a guy's name that I don’t know to my train of thought, Mason! I don’t know I just think it’s funny, Mason! It’s a bloody good time, Mason! I’m overdoing the bit, Mason! For real though, it’s never a dull time with these guys and I could listen to them for ages and about whatever topic including but not limited to movies and comic bjukes. I truly think they’re good guys and aside from their funny bits provide a rare good in today's internet culture, especially the commentary world: sincerity and respect for the medium. Their mantra „anything can be good“ is truly a healthy way to look at upcoming film projects, no matter how high or obvious their chance of bombing is. I always leave each episode with a big smile. High fives all around! Mason!
