    Dan Dickerson: From Strat-O-Matic baseball in the basement to Tigers legend

    In the debut episode of Tiger Tales, we celebrate 25 years of Dan Dickerson calling Detroit baseball. How did this self-professed “sports nerd” make his way from the DJ booth to sports broadcasting? Dan recounts the story of Ernie Harwell handing him his first inning of baseball play-by-play in an emotional final game at Tiger Stadium, and we hear audio of that incredible exchange. Dickerson also shares his favorite calls from the last quarter-century, reflects on his career thus far, and explains why he will never cease in his pursuit of calling the perfect game.
