    Discipline | Soldier

    Weekend Scripture: 2 Timothy 2 Discipline is consistent training that produces a desired result. This week, Scott kicked off a new series on Discipline, focusing on Paul's imagery of a soldier in 2 Timothy 2. Living in hostile territory requires us to be strengthened by the grace found in Christ rather than relying on self-help. Enlisting in team Jesus means facing spiritual warfare, sharing in suffering together, and fighting against the distractions that derail our mission. Jesus is the only One who can hold up under the pressure of being your all, being your Savior, and being your Lord. Jesus enlisted you. By His grace, He saved you. Through the Holy Spirit, He sustains you.

    Are you resting in the ultimate sufficiency of Jesus, or are you letting the chaos of life steal your peace and limit your willingness to obey? This week on Off Script, Neil and Scott are back together as Scott returns from his six-week break to dig into Week 2 of the Resilience series out of Acts Chapter 8.     Resilience | Flexibility

    Weekend Scripture: Acts 8 Resilience is the capacity to maintain core purpose and identity in the face of dramatically changing circumstances. Scott dives into Acts 8 to explore flexibility as we finish our series on Resilience. Persecution scattered the early church, but God leveraged changing circumstances to spread the Gospel as Philip faithfully obeyed and shared Jesus. A resilient church stands firmly on the Word of God, the power of God, and the mission of God to reach one more person with the life-changing news of Christ.

In Acts 3 and 4, we see that resilient strength is ready at unpredictable times, grounded in Scripture, and unwavering in proclaiming the full truth of Jesus.
