It’s the stories told in kitchens, the songs hummed while hand washing clothes, the tales passed down in whispers, dreams and rituals.

I reflect on the significance of “les langues vernaculaires,” the indigenous languages and identity that carry our unrefined truths, suppressed emotions, and timeless wisdom.
