From Striving to Surrender: A Godly Redirection Story w/ Kim Schouten Founder of Truth Muse

In this episode of DAUGHTERS, I’m joined by Kim Schouten, founder of Truth Muse, for a conversation about surrender, obedience, and God’s redirection.Kim shares how Jesus met her personally and how her faith journey deepened through a season where everything slowed down. A go-getter by nature, she suddenly found herself unable to work for months and forced to release control. What felt like loss became an invitation: to trust God, to wait without striving, and to let Him lead.We talk about what it looks like when God “empties space” to make room for what’s next, how to discern His voice in uncertainty, and how Truth Muse was birthed through prayer, Scripture, and creative intimacy with the Lord. Kim also shares the fruit of obedience, unexpected doors, and encouragement for any woman walking through a pruning or waiting season.Follow Kim here: https://www.instagram.com/kimantoniamaria/Check out Truth Muse here: https://www.instagram.com/truth.muse/ Book a Quiet Coffee Chat Need someone to talk to or pray with? Learning to Walk by God’s Strength, Not My Own

In this first episode of DAUGHTERS in 2026, Carina opens the new year by reflecting on what it means to live and move by God’s strength rather than our own. She shares honestly about the start of the year, work-challenges, moments of exhaustion, and the temptation to run at full capacity without listening to the Spirit.Drawing from 2 Corinthians 12:9–10, this episode centers on the truth that God’s grace is sufficient and that His power is perfected in weakness. When God empties chairs, when plans shift, when strength runs out, He is not withdrawing. He is making room to refill, to restore, and to move in a new way.Carina reflects on New Year resolutions, the desire to grow deeper in Scripture, and the importance of building systems that support spiritual formation rather than self driven pressure. She shares how God has been speaking about the future of the podcast, about guests, about movement, and about a quiet excitement sensed from the Holy Spirit. This episode is a reminder that we are not called to push through life by willpower alone. Because the Holy Spirit dwells within us, we are given strength to walk through things that feel impossible. Not by might. Not by power. But by His Spirit. If you are entering this year feeling tired, uncertain, or aware of your limitations, this episode invites you to begin 2026 anchored in grace, dependence, and trust in God’s strength. The God Who Redeems And Heals | Wrapping Up 2025

In this final episode of 2025, DAUGHTERS closes the year with a gentle conversation about the heart of God. With a cup of tea in hand, Carina reflects on God’s goodness, His faithfulness, and the quiet ways He redeems. This episode explores how God restores friendships, how confession brings healing and freedom, and how sharing honestly with one another can change everything. Drawing from Hebrews 1, Carina reflects on who God is, who He is to us, and how deeply He loves His children. This is not a teaching episode. It is a resting place. A moment to look back on the year, to recognize God’s hand in it, and to sit with the kindness of His presence. If you are ending this year tired, grateful, reflective, or simply in need of gentleness, this episode invites you to slow down, remember who God is, and trust His redeeming love. Thank you for walking through this year with me. Book a Quiet Coffee Chat Need someone to talk to or pray with? Creativity, the Image of God, and the Book That Built the West

In this episode of DAUGHTERS, Carina explores creativity through a biblical worldview and asks why beauty, meaning, and originality are disappearing in modern culture. Inspired by the Renaissance Conference, she reflects on how creativity has been flattened, distorted, and detached from holiness and truth.Carina explains that all creativity flows from being made in the image of a Creator. When holiness is lost, beauty is lost. Drawing from Isaiah 6, she shows how true creativity begins with an encounter with the holiness of God, leading to purification, clarity, and commissioning. The episode also connects creativity to the Bible’s role in shaping Western civilization. Scripture formed the foundation for human dignity, reason, science, music, and the arts by affirming that reality is ordered, meaningful, and knowable. This worldview made creativity, learning, and discovery possible.Carina reflects on music as a spiritual reality that cannot be explained by materialism alone. She contrasts biblical Christianity with nihilistic and deterministic worldviews that deny the soul, strip humans of agency, and ultimately collapse into meaninglessness. This episode is a call for Christian creatives to rise, create with truth and holiness, and align their gifts with God’s purpose. We create because we belong to the Creator. Book a Quiet Coffee Chat Need someone to talk to or pray with? Politics Took What Belongs to God. The Church Must Speak Again.

In this episode of DAUGHTERS, Carina talks about the rise of secularism and why the church can no longer stay silent. She explains that culture has taken over areas that actually belong to God. Topics such as identity, gender, marriage, and the value of human life are not political ideas. They are biblical foundations that God has given His people to guard and to teach. When Christians speak on these subjects, the world accuses them of stepping into politics, even though these topics were entrusted to the church from the beginning.Carina shares why every attempt to close the gap between Scripture and culture leads to decline. When the church tries to blend in with the world, it loses its saltiness and its influence. She calls listeners back to conviction, holiness, and a clear biblical worldview. She also speaks about the need for modern prophetic voices. Not public figures, but ordinary believers who listen for God, communicate boldly, and respond to what He places on their hearts. These voices often emerge from a place of desperation, which is why prayer becomes the only path forward. The way in is the way on. Revival begins with hunger and continues through prayer.Carina highlights how God has been speaking to people in simple but powerful ways. He is not distant. He meets His children in their questions, in their doubts, and in their longing for clarity. He often speaks through other believers, through prayer, and through unexpected moments of surrender.Throughout the episode, she calls listeners to pray for a flood of the Holy Spirit across cities and nations. God is moving, and He is calling His people to rise, to pray, and to speak again. If you sense the cultural tension of this moment, if you feel the weight of what is happening around you, or if you long to see God move in power, this episode speaks directly into that longing. The Enemy Wants You Silent But God Calls You To Rise

In this episode of DAUGHTERS, I share what God did at the Renaissance Conference, how He healed me in the past year, and why I believe this generation is being called into deeper conviction, courage, and biblical truth. Last year I attended this conference while still trapped in body image struggles. I could barely receive anything. This year I walked in completely free. God gave me a new glimpse of who He is. I talk about the nameless and faceless generation that so many people around the world have been prophesying over. A generation that will not be silent. A generation that refuses to bow to culture and chooses Scripture as its foundation. A generation that knows Jesus is the only way, the only truth, and the only life. This episode is a call to live with a biblical worldview. It is a call to make disciples, not fans. It is a call to prayer. We cannot stop praying. Prayer is our greatest weapon and God is moving through it. We are praying for a flood of the Holy Spirit, for revival, for hearts to turn to Christ, and for a generation that stands in truth without fear. If you have been feeling the pull to rise in this season, to step into the calling God has placed on your life, to live with clarity and conviction in a confused world, this episode is for you. Listen in and let God speak to you. Book a Quiet Coffee Chat Need someone to talk to or pray with? Why are you grieving someone you didn’t even know personally?

Why do we sometimes grieve so deeply for someone we never personally knew? In this episode of DAUGHTERS, I share what felt like a personal loss in memory of Charlie Kirk, and lift his family up in prayer. Together, we look to Scripture, Daniel 10 & 11, Revelation 6, Isaiah 6 and 57, 1 Timothy 1, and Luke 19, to understand the reality of the unseen battle, the hope of eternal peace, and God’s call to faithfulness in our generation. This conversation moves beyond left-versus-right debates, pointing us back to the heart of the gospel: Jesus came into the world to save sinners. He is the one who fights for us, calls us to stand firm, and reminds us that our ultimate allegiance is not to the kingdoms of this world but to the Kingdom of God. May this episode encourage you to see the times we are living in with spiritual clarity, to grieve with hope, and to stand ready to say, “Here I am, Lord. Send me.” Book a Quiet Coffee Chat Need someone to talk to or pray with?
