Saturday Night Jive Podcast

Ben Bailey

Two brothers get together each week to discuss the long running sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live, one a nerdy expert on all things SNL, the other a cynical casual viewer with much less love for its lore. Every week we recap the current episode (or classic eps during off weeks), discuss various issues related to the show and its history, and try to stump the expert with some SNL trivia.

365: "Soak My Coark" - Jimmy Fallon Breaking - An SNL Recurring Character Study

And we're back with yet another installment of our award winning segment ...And We're Back! where we take a deep dive into an SNL recurring character and watch all their appearances.  This week we did something a little different.  Instead of watching a recurring character we watched a selection of SNL sketches where Jimmy Fallon adorably broke character and giggled.  We picked some doozies but surprisingly we don't put too much blame on Jimmy.  Don't get us wrong, he sucks and we don't like him, but these sketches were turds to begin with and Jimmy just turned them into giggly turds.  We got some recurring characters in the mix with Jeffrey's, The Leather Man, The Lovers, Debbie Downer, and of course his most recognizable impression Osama Bin Laden.  Hope you appreciate all we do for you.  Enjoy! Sketches Include Aquarium Repairman - Season 28, Episode 9 hosted by Jeff Gordon Corksoakers - Season 29, Episode 17 hosted by Janet Jackson Jeffrey's - Season 26, Episode 18 hosted by Pierce Brosnan The Leather Man - Season 28, Episode 6 hosted by Brittany Murphy Debbie Downer - Season 29, Episode 18 hosted by Lindsay Lohan Saddam & Osama - Season 29, Episode 9 hosted by Jennifer Aniston Lovers - Season 27, Episode 3 hosted by Drew Barrymore Behind The Music - Season 25, Episode 16 hosted by Christopher Walken Full archive of all podcast episodes available at saturdaynightjive.blogspot.com Email us anything at saturdaynightjivepodcast@gmail.com Download Here
