She talks about how in her acupuncture practice she sees people (especially women fighting to hold onto the image we have of who we should be. She gives us permission to let go and be who we truly are. We talked about the importance of stillness and listening. And we are campaigning to make Adult "Time Outs" popular. So many tools and gentle, loving invitation to rest and be yourself. Kathryn works as a Functional Medicine practitioner and acupuncturist in Alameda, California. She has learned through her own personal health that most individuals often do not fit the “normal” protocol. Kathryn continually delves into the latest research regarding diet and lifestyle factors that can strengthen and/or weaken the body. Kathryn grew up in Arizona, she received her bachelor’s degree in music therapy at Arizona State University. Through music therapy she had the privilege to work with the Mohammad Ali Parkinson’s clinic, Hospice, Nursing Homes, Adult Developmental Centers, State Hospital, addiction recovery and children with developmental diseases. In 2010, Kathryn began to fly from Arizona to California to see an Acupuncturist for her health issues. Through these appointment, Kathryn saw the power of combining western and eastern medicine. Wanting to broaden her scope of practice, she moved to California and received her Master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.  In her free time, Kathryn LOVES to play with her dog, Opie. They enjoy going on car rides and MANY long walks. Through the help of Opie energy, Kathryn has now been able to routinely get 20,000 steps a day in (based on Oura ring).
