New York City is putting a one-year moratorium on the use of artificial intelligence for its youngest students in the city’s public schools. The hidden death toll from extreme heat

New FDA-approved drug offers hope in pancreatic cancer treatment

The Food and Drug Administration approved a new medication to treat pancreatic cancer. In trials, it extended the survival rate of patients by a median of 13.2 months. Dr. Brian Wolpin from the Dana Farber Cancer Institute explains how the drug works and what it could mean for the future of cancer treatment. Then, a recent study found that at least a quarter of former NFL players who died had chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE. Chris Nowinski, CEO of the Concussion Legacy Foundation shares more about the findings and how they could impact the upcoming football season. And, in Nepal, first responders are searching for survivors after a massive flash flood killed at least 300 people.
