    Ep. 172 - The Triangle

Back during the start of the 20th century, the Gilded Age gave way to the Progressive Era as immigrant labor was forced to work long hours in terrible working conditions. This all came to a head on March 25, 1911, when a fire broke out in the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory in New York's Lower East Side, killing 146 people. It was one of the greatest tragedies in the history of America.

Ep. 168 - The Silver Star

Throughout the history of the old west, there are few lawmen with as interesting a story as that of Bass Reeves. He was a former slave who became known far and wide as perhaps the most prolific law enforcement officer in history. Some stories claim he arrested more than 3,000 criminals in his career, and shot and killed as many as fourteen men. He's also widely believed to be the inspiration for the one of the most famous fictional cowboys ever, the Lone Ranger.

    Ep. 167 - The Prodigy

You've probably heard stories about child prodigies, those remarkable children who show incredible aptitudes in art, music, science and mathematics at an early age. Well, once there lived a little girl named Barbara Newhall Follett, who published her first novel at age 12, and for a time became the darling of the literary world. But fame and critical acclaim at such an early age comes with a price, and one day when Barbara was 25 years old, she walked out of her apartment and was never seen again.
