A peaceful moment

I remember when the very first episodes of the show came out, I felt like I was drowning in noise, at this point I don’t even remember if anything bad had happened or if something was wrong, I just remember feeling overwhelmed. There were maybe 12 episodes out when I first started listening and I listened to them all in a few days and then I listened to them again, and doing so felt like a nice respite. A moment of peace. I was so moved. I felt held, I felt that I was being treated with a tenderness that I hadn’t realized I’d been lacking. I think I only pressed play because I was a regular enjoyer of a number of McElroy products already and myself a cereal enthusiast, but I’m so glad I did. Since then I have turned to this show when I felt like I needed a break from the noise. An added bonus is that since I am not American, while I feel that I have a fairly solid grasp on the selection available at my local supermarket chains, hearing about the products discussed on this program feels like stepping into a beautiful sugary fantasy world, not unlike what I imagine the appeal of Disney might be some. A good and peaceful and soothing show. Once i listened to an early episode that had some hiccups with the audio and it began with a note from the hosts about whatever the issue was and to say that if I heard a strange noise it was not something I imagined it was simply a result of technical difficulties. I don’t remember what I was going through at that time either, only that it made me cry a little. All that is simply to say that you’re in good hands with this one.
