The Ends Kevin Allen

A smalltown farmboy born in the mud learns he is destined for something more. His launch into space on the Vostok reads like a storybook. The light of his first flight glows even now, but what does the light blind us to? Can we separate the shine from the star?
 
I used "Starman" by Piers Bizony and Jamie Doran, "Escaping the Bonds of Earth: The fifties and sixties" by Ben Evans and "Rockets and People Vol 3" by Boris Chertok along with supplemental sources including Nikolai Kamanin's diary. 
 
Stars-intro music was "Labyrinth" by Sergey Cheremisinov. Then (and at the end) we had "On the Moon" by johnny_ripper. The middle, in various combinations and loops, was the Prelude to Richard Wagner's "Das Rheingold," as performed by the United States Military Band. The outro, as always, was Podington Bear's "Afterglow."

The Space Race heats up, and the internal Soviet power struggle begins. A man who yearns for the stars finally, after years of struggle, gets the chance to join them. But progress requires sacrifice. Hopefully the Chief Designer made the right one.

We use some of the Prelude to Richard Wagner's "Das Rheingold," as performed by the United States Military Band. Also included was Jazzar's "Railroad Whiskey co," Kai Engel's "Rainbow," and Yair Yona's "Pharoah 2011." The outro, as always, was Podington Bear's "Afterglow," with a special guest appearance by Kevin MacLeod's "Danse macabre."

The Soviet Union sees a golden opportunity to break the back of NASA. In the light of the sun, they will reach for future. In the dark of the witching hour, two friends will reach for the past.

Additionally, I referenced the Hendrickx and astronautix.com translations of the Kamanin diaries as well as "Red Star in Orbit" by James E. Oberg. 
 Music during the story of Icarus was "Harbor" by Kai Engel. "On the Moon" by johnny_ripper was present throughout. The European Archive supplied a recording of Alexander Borodin's "In the Steppes of Central Asia," as well as the third movement of Tchaikovsky's "Suite No. 1." Also included was Jazzar's "Railroad Whiskey co," Kai Engel's "Rainbow," and "Oneiri," and PC III's "Snow Ticket."

An ambitious and principled young lawyer meets a smart and charming college student as the '60s gave way to the '70s. As they'll learn, the rushing waters of revolution can cleanse the world. Or choke it.

Telegraph Avenue music was "Psychadelic Rock" by niodjo. Intro and outro drumbeats was "Drums Suspense" by Johnnymusic. Ocean Beach / creation music was "Background" by MaksimSafronov. Jesse Spillane rounds us out with "Meerkats in Love."

Tim and Grace thrive in the Temple as their life together withers. The seeds of tragedy are sown, and a child is born that will decide the fate of hundreds. Regret is a Colorado cottage.
