By sheer will, she was alive. Amelia took that to heart, setting huge goals and recognizing that some of them meant she risked not coming on. Her death remained an unsolved cold case for nearly 17 years until DNA evidence linked her murder to Altemio Sanchez. It was with her murder, though, that he switched from the Bike Path Rapist to the Bike Path Killer.
