He speaks to Brandon - co-owner and co-founder of As Is about the bar celebrating its 10th year being open. He talks about opening the bar, his vision, and what the bar means to the community today.  Adam, beer director for As Is then joins to talk about curating the taplist for the 10th anniversary and how intentional the choices were. Luis from Messorem and Julian, friend of the show then join to talk about the Canadian beer scene. Luis talks about his journey from beer nerd to working in one of the most hyped breweries in the world and how is spreading the word about their beers across the globe. Later Chase from Top Beer Drops talks about the top rated beers of the past week. He also talks about his trip to New Jersey and what his plans are for the Droppies where he highlights the top beers of 2025.

    Season 6 Episode 1 (01/14/2026) - Queue the Beer

    Send us a text In this episode, Dan heads to Queue Beer in Brooklyn ahead of their anniversary. Scott of Draftroomnyc joins the podcast as well as Shane - owner of Queue Beer. They talk about Canal Champagne and how pouring Miller High Life from a Lukr has gained so much love from the craft beer community. They discuss the opening the bar and how its proximity to Other Half led it to its name. We go over the taplist for the event which includes several beers brewed especially for the anniversary. Shane talks about working in craft beer for over a decade and the different moments that brought us to where craft beer is today. Also in this episode - Chase from Top Beer Drops talks about the top new beers of the past week according to Untappd ratings and previews the upcoming Droppies award that highlights the top beers and breweries of the past year.  In local releases, we begin with the Icarus 9 Year Anniversary and talk about Troon and Test's offerings for Fiden's Jasper week. We look ahead to EQ's Day of Bliss and talk about upcoming beer events around Valentine's Day that might be helpful for the craft beer nerd that is looking to plan around that weekend.

    Season 5 Episode 14 (11/23/2025) - Friendsgiving at Tin Barn

    Send us a text In this episode Dan visits Tin Barn for their Friendsgiving event. Dan talks to Scott, Lauren, Dale, and Rich of Tin Barn about the event and some of the new beers they debuted for the event - one collab with Bakes and one with District 96, Lost Tavern, and Twin Elephant. They talk about the event itself which featured a taplist that included beers from Other Half, RAR, EQ, and many other breweries. Later on Tim and Cindy of Twin Elephant join the conversation as well as Andrew of District 96. We talk about the beer industry and the importance of friends in having a successful brewery. Tim talks about how Twin Elephant was one of the first breweries to use Eggers hops and shares some stories about Eggers that most people probably don't know. Later in the episode, we talk about some of the major releases of the past week - Kane's ANTEAD set and Cantillon's fall package as well as Oakflower's anniversary offerings. And finally we look ahead to one of the best weekends of the year in the local craft beer world - the weekend of December 5th and 6th with the Tap House 15 anniversary and LADS Day.

    Send us a text In this episode, Dan talks with Kyle of Horus Aged Ales. Kyle visited New Jersey doing several collabs and sat down with Dan at Alternate Ending. He talks about the two collabs he is doing at Alternate Ending, his untraditional rise to popularity in the beer world, and why he loves doing collabs so much. He also shares stories related to his love for food, disc golf, and why birds are such a prominent feature in his beer labels and his life. He also teases ahead to a few future collabs that we should all keep our eyes on and might even sell you on why spreadsheets are cool. Also in this episode - Chase from Top Beer Drops talks about the top rated new beers of the past week which includes a lot of local names and some of the same hops that keep making the list - Eggers. Dan talks about the new releases that caught his eye including some notable collabs and two breweries that are celebrating anniversaries this week with some killer collabs on the taplist.

    Send us a text In this episode, Dan talks to Cory King of Side Project Brewing ahead of their 12 year anniversary. Cory talks about his journey in the beer world - from home brewing to being one of the first employees at Perennial to opening Side Project. He talks about his love for hospitality, the importance of charity, and why if you visit Side Project, you are likely to see him there. We discuss the impact of Untappd on the beer world, the secondary market, and the future of the craft beer world. Cory also shares the stories of how OWK and MJK came to be, why some recipes just don't turn out the same from location to location, and why despite brewing so many different styles, Side Project is still a sour brewery. He also talks about the two big releases for this year's anniversary including 12 Year - a massive barleywine blend that will be sure to go to the top of every craft beer nerd's most wanted list.

Jose of Yankeerunner IG fame joins the conversation and talks about this year's Melesa's Wings and the upcoming milestone in terms of fundraising. He also teases ahead to what is to be expected this year. Chase from Top Beer Drops joins the podcast to talk about the top 10 new beers of the past week which includes one of Dan's favorite breweries taking the top spot. Also in this episode - we talk about the Root and Branch anniversary as well as upcoming anniversaries for Kane and Mortalis.
