#836 - Duke-Michigan axed, but Duke goes to new heights

We’re back with Episode 836 as some schedule news and team updates had us reacting on a Friday morning! Donald and Jason start off with the reports that the Duke-Michigan game has been canceled due to the dispute Fox and the Big Ten had with Amazon Prime broadcasting the game. Instead, Duke will reportedly face Texas Tech on December 21st at Madison Square Garden. We react to the news that an elite matchup is making way for a still very strong matchup. Army also has announced that their game against Duke will open up the 2026-27 season on November 2nd. We discuss the knowledge that our great matchup against West Point will be the season opener. After the break, we get into Javin DeLaurier coming back to Duke to serve as a player development assistant for the team. Having members of The Brotherhood come back to help out the current team is always welcomed, and we love Javin in this role. We then get into the heights and weights for the 2026-27 team that were released yesterday. Biggest note: we have some SIZE. We end by sending some love to one of our own after an unspeakable tragedy. Make sure you’re following us! DBR Bites #168 - True Brotherhood: Kager Knueppel Commits!

Another one!! Kager Knueppel commits to Duke suddenly, so Donald and Jason jump on quickly to discuss it on an emergency DBR Bites! We're truly excited about Kager deciding to come to Duke, and we get a chance to talk quickly about his game and what he brings to the Blue Devils. It creates some intriguing size for the 2027-28 team as well with Kager now standing 6'10" and shooting up the high school rankings. We talk about the growing Knueppel pipeline and what it means to now have Kager as the latest. Kager's not the only guy that Duke is coveting in the Class of 2027. We also briefly discuss a couple more guys that are on Duke's radar that could be terrific pieces to another awesome recruiting class. We'll hopefully be back later this week, but wanted to make sure we screamed from the rooftops: ANOTHER ONE! Make sure you’re following us! We then shift to the basketball, starting by giving some in depth analysis on Maliq Brown being drafted by the San Antonio Spurs. Donald also gets to briefly add his thoughts on Isaiah Evans going to the Minnesota Timberwolves. We then get into Joakim Boumtje Boumtje balling out with Team USA at the FIBA U-17 World Cup. He's been doing really well and we talk about his progress over the past couple of months since he committed. We also get into recruiting as Duke has offered a couple of highly ranked recruits in the Class of 2028.
