    30. It was never about podcasting - how to launch your passion projects cringe-free with Paula

Hello Creators, This month marks 3rd anniversary of my very first episode so I'd love to celebrate with you and share a few tips on how to start any passion project. What did I learn after 3 years of podcasting? It’s not only about where the new skill takes you but rather what adventure it takes you on. What are you learning along the way about the process of creation. Constraints let you focus on the art of doing instead of worrying about the embellishment. Start simple, don’t fall into gear choice paralysis. Don’t kill the project before it turns into something tangible. Commit to it without time pressures and let it unfold naturally. It might take you to interesting places even if you don’t arrive at the destination you had in mind. Improv your way into solocasts. Outline is there to ground you into the topic but don’t let it overpower your message. Trust you are always prepared.  Finally, Remember - sometimes the reason why you even started was to learn something about yourself. And maybe it wasn’t all about podcasting after all.  If you want to see more of my writing, sign up for my newsletter: https://humanlystories.substack.com/ Find my creative work at:  https://linktr.ee/humanly.space Happy flowing! 25. Epidemics of disconnection - how to treat your emotions as data points of your well being with Kim

Hello Creators, Don't let emotions get to your head. Be rational.  Ever since we learn to walk, we absorb the narrative that emotions are something you need to DEAL WITH. Preferably alone as it might be contagious. There are bad emotions you keep to yourself. And good emotions that are encouraged to be shared. We tend to forget that they are mere transient waves that give you early signaling before your mind makes the connection.  We developed a society with the most sophisticated levels of communication but yet we're as lonely as we can get. We fetishize the mind and its capabilities yet discard the most nuanced intelligence force at our disposal - emotional signaling. Our feelings are not stories about ourselves we need to believe in. They are indicators of needs. The moment we start tuning into our emotions, we start taking notice and understanding what we need at the moment. Maybe your boundaries have been crossed or you don't feel safe with certain crowds or your unhealed trauma rears its head begging for attention. Your emotions are data points to understand your desires. Having them under your belt allows you to do the radical trimming of anything that isn't aligned with your inner compass.  Repressing your feelings is taking away your most powerful toolkit to see into yourself. Quite simply, denying your emotions is denying yourself. Join me and Kim, a holistic licensed psychotherapist specializing in somatic and mindfulness-based modalities and trauma healing, in a conversation where we dive deep into the emotional landscape. In this episode you'll learn: How do we hold our feelings without self-identifying?How to understand when your body signals to you when your boundary is crossed. How can we nurture emotional responsibility on a daily basis? 24. Human evolution with technology - is AI a perfect copy of imperfect human experience?

Hello Creators,  The topic of Artificial Intelligence has hit the headlines and captivated the imaginations. A lot has been covered on its technical capabilities and applications but there haven’t been enough humanities-driven discussions. Join me and my guest Mark, independent thinker and philosopher, in my next Humanly episode where we dive into topics like human evolution with technology, social implications on profiling & bias, and consciousness intention to evolve regardless of its container. The Internet is like the nervous system for humanity and AI is the brain. If inventions are human-inspired, does it make them imperfect by design? On the other hand, if they are meant to be an upgraded human experience, what does "perfect" represent? Considering the speed of AI growth and its limitless potential, we can assume that it won’t be limited to corporations, open-source projects but might become yet another competitive edge of nations. Previous generations faced an arms race during Cold War, are we looking to repeat the history with the technology race? It’s hard to predict how AI will evolve as it has no natural inclination towards survival or competitiveness. What also distinguishes us is our physical plane - human embodied experience and emotional intelligence give additional depth of processing. Would it be a natural next step for AI too? One of the ways to co-exist with technology is to integrate with it. Techno-optimists gravitate towards enmeshment to upgrade our human experience, but can we risk making humanity irrelevant at some point?
