On today’s show, Pat, DBut, AJ Hawk, and the boys break down everything happening around the NFL with another edition of Everything DB, before heading In The Trenches with AQ Shipley. Joining the progrum, Junior NFL Insider for ESPN, Ian Rapoport, stops by to discuss the apparent fire sale taking place in Indianapolis as the Colts continue to move on from some of their biggest names. Raps breaks down the trades sending Quenton Nelson to Seattle and DeForest Buckner back to San Francisco, along with the latest developments surrounding Josh Downs and his request to be traded. Next, CBS commentator and future Hall of Famer, JJ Watt, joins the boys to discuss his Milwaukee Brewers coming up short in their attempt to sweep the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 4 of the World Series. Shifting back to football, JJ reflects on calling this past weekend’s Bengals-Ravens matchup before diving into the Chiefs’ uncharacteristic offensive struggles against a Seattle Seahawks defense that has caused problems for opposing teams all season. He also weighs in on DeForest Buckner’s addition to the 49ers defense, what it means to be playing the best football of his career, and the growing frustration surrounding penalties against defensive players for hits on quarterbacks. Keeping the football conversation rolling, Detroit Lions superstar Running Back, Jahmyr Gibbs, joins the progrum to discuss his mindset entering the season as the team’s primary back following David Montgomery’s departure. Gibbs also gives the boys a look inside Detroit’s locker room, his relationship with Jared Goff, the viral celebration following the Packers jumping offsides, and how the team plans to celebrate Halloween together. Turning our attention to the hardwood, Senior NBA Insider for ESPN, Shams Charania, stops by with the latest injury news from around the league. Shams starts with Tyrese Haliburton potentially missing extended time due to a hamstring injury, along with several other injury concerns facing the Indiana Pacers, before providing updates on Anthony Edwards, Jalen Williams, Kawhi Leonard, Paolo Banchero, and Jaren Jackson Jr. He also discusses Kyrie Irving’s return to the court, the opportunity to play alongside Cooper Flagg for the first time, and several other developing storylines across the NBA.
